For the first time Disney accept Star Wars is costing money. With theme parks closed the money pit is expanding.
Disney Confirmed Star Wars Franchise is Losing Money. May have to be put on Sale
>Lucas buys it back for a fraction of what he sold it for
If Lucas bought it back and then produced a non-pozzed movie, that would restore my faith in humanity.
George and Mel buy it back together forba fraction of ehat it sold for
FTFY
>get woke go broke
i love this trend
YES
I have always been a huge star wars fan and still have yet to see Rise of Skywalker. Fuck Disney.
Apologize
That would be a dream
i like daidy ridley i wish i was ben solo when he kissed her
Do yourself a favor and don't.
>Least profitable
>Losing money
These are not the same thing
>Solo was best film in franchise
>Rouge One sucked ass
Unpopular opinion but true!
>Disney installments declared non-canon
>Disney loses millions more paying online shills to try to convince people it was all a good thing
anyone could look at the box office and tell that
This.
I want to see his own directed sequel trilogy.
Its not bad, its just the definitive "see it once and forget about it" movie. I was entertained for the 2.5 hours, but I cant remember shit about it.
Please let it happen.
This
Rise is what finally broke me with SW. and I’ve been a fan for 3 decades.
TLJ did a lot of damage, but Rise needed to fully embrace it and add context. Something like reasoning Luke igniting his saber could have been a good chance to show the dark side infesting Luke’s mind if Snoke was that strong. Causing panic or making Ben appear as the emperor. Just some sort of justification for freaking out beyond what a Jedi would do.
Rian fucked up but the answer was Not to just ignore it for an awful fetch quest and shoving classic references in everywhere.
Fuck that movie.
The best part of the franchise atm is the tabletop war games but with all the stores closed, you can get your legion, dogfighting or fleet battles on.
Wait, they're saying these movies are fictional?
I just like the vehicles.
Who are they going to sell it to? They own everybody except for paramount, universal, and warner brothers.
(((Hollywood))) accounting. Return of the Jedi "made no money" back in 1983.
George Lucas has already said he'd be willing to buy it back
>If Lucas bought it back
Could happen.
>and then produced a non-pozzed movie,
Won't happen.
>that would restore my faith in humanity.
Sorry bro, it's dead, let it rest and give your attention to literally anything else that deserves it.
They have demonstrated time and again they don't care about us, why should we care about their creations.
The Last Jedi is among the worst films ever made. It is an irredeemable pile of dog shit.
The quality of the acting has shades of an unironic watching of "The Room"
The script is litered with inane deus ex machina and total farcical shit like women flying through space.
Most Soviet propaganda films were lower key about advancing their ideology than TLJ
The special effects were last-gen
The action was predictable
The characters were all banal, one-note, and uninteresting
It produced a nasty backlash, anyone else would have cleaned house of all staff, disney doubled down, now they get their rewards, which is a 50% hair cut on their stock price.
>then produced a non-pozzed movie
Fucking lol
I bet he already has head cannon for what he would have done. I bet it would be dope.
As much criticism as the prequels got, if they were released today in 2020 they would be the best movies in a decade or more.
I mean they were always good movies but the decline in movie quality in the last decade is astounding.
Just compare DisneyWars to them. They were in a different league.
Stick a fork in Star Wars. It is done. Way to kill off a franchise SJW's.
The first DisneyWars was horrific. I think people just gave it a pass for some reason.
I also think a lot of it was Disney bucks doing marketing. Making it appear like people liked it.
But it was a train wreck.
They all were. Astoundlingly bad. Designed to fail garbage.
And i mean that. They were purposfully crafted to fail
He literally have them the complete outline of what he was going to do for 7 8 and 9. They through it away and then Kathleen whined about not having material to go by.
Lord and Miller have an amazing track record as directors and writers and Disney fucking them off the movie they'd practically finished was a fucking insane decision.
Solo could have been great and it could have set the Star Wars universe up for any kind of genre movie going forwards, comedy, mystery, romantic comedy, action even a drama movie or two.
The setting has infinite potential if they'd just let some of their staff off the fucking leash but instead they played it safe and stale.
Abrams isn't a bad director(he's not a great director but he's good enough to get along) but my reading on him is that he'll do anything to keep the peace and will pump out exactly what he was asked to do and nothing more before moving on to the next project.
(((They))) were planning to take away civil rights for Plebs for a very long time. Star Wars was about rising up and overcoming an evil empire and they can't have too many young men getting ideas about freedom and rebellion in their heads. Thus Star Wars had to be SJWed out of existence.
>The action was predictable
The throne room fight is literally the only good action sequence in the entire trilogy
Disney didnt care about StarWars. They saw it as a vehicle for their propaganda.
So Lucases vision was never ever ever going to be allowed. Its niave to think it would have been.
The only reason StarWars exists is because Lucas made money off the toys and therefore could fund it himself.
He was outside the system!
They bankrupted the delorientis production company for making Dune back in 1984.
Hollywood is a vector for propaganda. Not entertainment. They dont allow independant operators. You serve their machine.
Sony or Netflix. I’d rather it go to WB.
>mutt reading comprehension
Holy shit fucking saved!
>Abrams isn't a bad director
You’re not competent enough to critique anything. Lurk moar if you believe anything you wrote. There are whole levels of depth you are missing.
It was unironically the most enjoyable movie of the sequel trilogy, even if just for the shock factor of "how the fuck did anyone ok this". There were two scenes that I, as a cynical and bitter Star Wars fan, actually enjoyed:
>1.
The opening 10 minutes feature a cool scene with Finn, Poe, and C-3P0 in the Falcon on the run from TIE fighters that made me forget about the previous 2 movies for a second and actually have fun
>2.
When Luke's force ghost comes back you see Mark Hamil finally get to act like the wise old Luke Skywalker he's always wanted and we've always imagined and it's genuinely fantastic to see. Of course it's like 5 minutes.
Rest of the movie is nonsense.
I do a bit of writing myself, I fully believe that there is no way to save Star Wars. You'd have to go into the past or further into the future; JJ Abrams fucked it up really bad. There's no way around it, it's dead. Idk why these billion dollar companies hand their precious IP's to jews. They always subvert and destroy them. Idk if they're trying to prove a point, like they are better writers, etc., or if they really buy in to the artistic deconstructionism or they're just naturally subversive parasites. Either way, you cannot leave a billion dollar IP in the hands of Schlomo if you want it to prosper.
If they sell it watch Tencent buy it and use it just to make crappy mobile games.
And it has some of the questions choreography of any action sequence ever. Seriously go back and watch what is happening during that fight it's complete pants on head retarded.
KOTOR movie
No one wants to pay money to buy some multicultural shitty movie. The 70s movies were the best everyone was white they didnt try to put a woman or a negro in every opening. Give the people what they want and its obviously white people. There i saved both disney and the franchise. Your welcome.
Disney has devalued the franchise. It will take a lot of work to get it back to where it was when they took it over.
Mel infuses it with Christian themes, Star Wars morphs into Warhammer 40K.
I always figured that was the plan. Sell it, make money, they devalue it, buy it back, repeat.
