CA prop 63 lifted

A hero judge overruled prop 63 in CA preventing the need to show ID to buy ammo. CA anons can now buy ammo online again. Does this mean the map cap is also lifted?

If Prop 63 was repealed, then probably. Although it begs the question, was the whole law overturned or just the online freedom seed acquisition?

No

they are two different cases that were ruled unconstitutional by the same judge. they are being put on hold by the state to prevent them from removing the laws. There will be more court cases. There is going to be a alot of this back and forth in the next 5-10 years. california absolutely does not want to go to the supreme court and get their asshole reamed and lose all the gun control they have built up. That means they are willing to let shit like this slide to prevent the AWB and DOJ roster from being challenged by the supreme court.

The mag ban was stayed and is currently at the 9th for appeal, but the ammo purchase thing hasn't been yet. Benitez denied Becerra's stay request on the ammo law at about 3 PM today, so buying fun foods online is still good to go for this weekend (courts don't reopen until Monday).

They fear Kavanaugh, after what they did they him they are right to do so.

source? great day for freedom if so. Now if all the Trump appointees get selected for the en blanc appeal on the 9th circus, we will have open carry soon.

I don't know I've just seen online ammo suppliers be able to sell to CA again. Some sell mags and ammo, some sell ammo only, and lucky Gunner still isn't selling to CA until this gets figured out. I want larger magazines but I never break the law.

This, the liberal pundits call what’s going on the “gunpocalypse” AKA the days that all their infringement is finally held up to scrutiny and shoved up their already gaping assholes. It looks like the magazine ban isn’t going to hold up to scrutiny at all judging from that abortion of a oral argument they had about it, I imagine the AWB and ammo background check will be equally entertaining and embarrassing for the state

Go to cheaper than dirt or other online suppliers websites

see

tl;dr: Mag cap still active, but ammo ban is dead at least until the 9th reconvenes on Monday.

Would it be legal to create a device that belt feeds a stick mag?

>5-10 years
delay delay delay until the hispanic blue bloc moves from plurality to majority and the old white conservatives die off.

Like a belt feed of box magazines? I wouldn't want to try that, CA has a de facto ban on ammo belts.

doesn;t change anything. the supreme court is going to be stacked in our favor for the next 40 years

#bighope

It could easily go wrong. What if corona tips trump over the edge in the electoral college before he can add a new judge?

Not yet.

We can expect plenty more bullshit ballot initiatives to pass though. Fed can slowly stomp them down after the fact but it's going to suck.

I imagine a belt feed into a device that loads the bottom of a stick mag, to be used prone

CA says any belt feed larger than 10 rounds or that can be linked to hold more than 10 in ANY way is de facto illegal. DOJ will bust your ass for a few loose links as long as you've got more than ten, so that won't really work.

If they can't prove when you made it they're kind of fucked. 11 round belt assembled at any x time in the past when it was legal

>Hispanic blue bloc
I've always found this strange. All the smack about the Hispanics being antigun yet the most common and most hardcore zealots I've ever met have been white suburbia and city denizens.

alright, picked up another 500 rounds for my garand. I want more 5.45 too but can't really justify it lol.

True, forgot about that for a sec when I posted that. Problem is, you'd have to have a delinker in the box somehow and I can see that having a ton of problems. The AR belt feeds get away with it by putting a delinker in the upper, actuated by bolt movement IIRC.

As an ethnic group they vote pretty solid blue. They might not be vocal about it, but they swung the vote years ago.

I know and shoot with more SotB Californians than any other demographic.

That's too be expected if they're a plurality. As a group they still vote heavily blue. Im not trying to denigrate them. One of my longshot hopes is that we see a massive red shift in younger hispanic voters. Hasn't happened over the last 30 years though.

If it doesn't, the 2A legislative situation in CA is just going to get worse.

>california absolutely does not want to go to the supreme court
They're in luck then, SCOTUS doesn't take gun cases.

What?

Hispanics don't give any fucks about gun laws, they just vote blue for the gibs.

Friend, the law is simple:

>A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Now go buy your magazines.

What is this so true?

Fuck dude, I just want cool mags, and a pap m92 and a ghm9 and uncucked ar's and mag fed shotguns... I want to feel the shockwave from 7.62x39 coming out of a short barrel at an indoor range, I wanna feel the thrill of magdumping a banana mag into a dirt backstop in ocotillo, I want to be able to buy tracer ammo and shoot it at rocks by God I want to be able to buy a .50 bmg and shoot that at rocks in the desert, I want a bullpup with a reasonable barrel length... I want suppressors and NFA items, I want to not feel the need to buy a house in shitty Yuma just to have a residence for NFA items, shot barreled meme shotguns.... Why is life so hard /k/omrades? California has more guns and gun owners than any other state in America. I want open carry, I want concealed carry... I'm just so sad anons
