How would one even go about raising a child in modern culture without making them a pariah? We're living at a time where it's normal to get a tablet in infancy and get on social media in elementary school
How would one even go about raising a child in modern culture without making them a pariah...
Homeschooling, user
Ground rules and reward and punishment system based on your ground rules
Buy age appropriate books/activities frequently and don't homeschool them,,
Silly if you don't know what you're doing
I kind of feel like there's no point in having children anymore, unless you are pretty sure you can handle raising them similarly in discipline to the Amish, or Hasidic Jews. Ultra traditionalism is very challenging, now, unless you have the support of a wider group of people, like those two aforementioned ultra traditionalist societies.
Traditionalism is a gay LARP, I just don't know if it's even possible to get kids to form irl relationships anymore, it barely was by the time I was done with highschool
my country has some catholic only neighbourhoods, might move there
if you are too strict they are going to rebel and become even more of a blue haired tranny snowflake.
This.
Also, afaik, the Mormons don't let their kids watch TV, ever. Unironically look into how Mormons deal with all this modern-day trash, if anything just to scout out ideas that at least they put into practice. Kind of as a place to start.
mormons are also a bunch of loonies
No doubt, no doubt. But as a place to start, just looking into how they deal with this shit might be an ok idea. But yes, they are kind of nuts.
Don't know what else to say, the decadence (in the broadest sense of the term, not just the obvious) is everyplace you look unfortunately, from schools to billboards to architecture to 'devices' to art, to music, to 'children's shows' on TV, everywhere.... It's fucked.
