2000-2004 was basically just a continuation of the Late 90s Golden Age when it came to kid centric culture like PS2, Samurai Jack, Invader Zim, Malcolm in the Middle, etc., and was the tail end of Gen Y or Millennial Kid Culture.
2005-2009 in contrast was a dark age in children's entertainment with Johnny Test, iCarly, casual gaming, and Fanboy and Chum Chum, and was around when kids started to stay inside more often and social media started to take over our lives, aka the inception of Gen Z or Zoomer Kid Culture.
i would cut my balls off just to get 2000s internet culture back

2000- early 2003 was a golden era like you described
mid 2003 to around early 2006 was a nu-hell on Earth, W. Bush-eraism that was hard to shake for many
mid 2006 to late 2009 was so wildcard variable because this was when the most shake-ups occurred and many of us started going through high school and puberty, some of us went from weird to normie, others normie to weird. The precursor to the insanity simulation that is 2010-2019

I remember once I had as a big smile on my face like this girl and such glowing and humane eyes, now they're gone

My parents kept me super isolated all the way until I graduated high school. Moved me to bum fuck Idaho when I was 13 after my first year in public school. I was still playing in my backyard doing tomato wars and sitting in the mud until about 17. About to turn 27 in a few days and almost a decade later I still wish I could sit in my yard and have battles with my garden vegetables.

>2000-2004 When did you start going your own way?
Juan Fisher
>I was still playing in my backyard doing tomato wars and sitting in the mud until about 17. About to turn 27 in a few days and almost a decade later I still wish I could sit in my yard and have battles with my garden vegetables. Are you socially awkward?
Juan Gonzalez
I use to be ultra tarded all through high school freshman year of college. But I dropped out and joined the army and got picked on enough to become functioning and funny. I'm married now, out of the army and do comedy clubs in my free time. My past social retardation has given me a good amount of material to make fun of myself and get people laughing.
I can hold interesting conversation, make people laugh and be polite when needed but I hate every second of it.
Camden Clark
Damn, I identify hard with your story, except for me it was working in a trade instead of the military that taught me how to be a normie when I have to.

>calling a corporate mass media brainwashing using time wasting worthless games on children as a "golden age" Holy shit
Jonathan Jenkins
I miss rocket power, the cheesy slang was hilarious.
I briefly used usenet as a kid, the 90s internet was very different, and I miss prince of persia on my old ibm computer
>t.a very lucky 95 zoomer

I have a lot of good memories from that time period. I graduated HS in 2006 and I had a lot of fun playing ps2 in my parents basement. In like 2003 the internet really started getting mainstream, then came myspace. The internet was better when it was an escape from real life and an escape from normies, now everybody is always online. Remember when people said g2g? People don't say it anymore because you never sign off. Kids that are growing up now will look back at their childhood though and feel the same sense of nostalgia. The older you get the more you want the past back and the less you understand the new weird shit kids are into
Nah, I'm much younger than you and I agree with your timeline 100%, this is less the gradual change that bugs old people, and more a change to a completely zogged world
Colton Howard
seeing this might have been enough to push me over the edge.

look at this spoiled brat with her material possessions, is this what the 90s are about?
Samuel Phillips
Bullshit
Landon Rogers
Man she probably schlicked so hard all over that room....
Those were the days...

Look, becoming the next Tarrant won't change shit, you'll kill 20 nogs and get shot, if you're really angry become the next Hitler instead, too many autistic, angry kiddos an hero instead of actually going out and accomplishing change
James Evans
Funny I thought the exact same thing when myspace came out, I was missing the good old mIRC days. Too much normies on myspace. It's just how things have been and will be. When I was young people were kicking and screaming against mIRC.
