Good job, Deutsch-Ostafrika, good job.

Won't China just fund his opposition or rebel groups?

Sounds like a pretty unwise thing to do to be honest

>Magufuli a demigod

What sort of organization writes like this? It's like one of those Trump sites.

Not a good look. China has been funding public works projects in developing countries to cultivate a positive image and build allies. The upside is better infrastructure for Africa, the downside is that you’re in debt to China and they can influence you however they want.

>Won't China just fund his opposition or rebel groups?
Tanzania is stable and has no terror/rebel groups despite being a country with over 120 ethnicities (mainly thanks to the commie dictator that sort of fucked up the industry but united all the tribes so they don't kill eachother)
It has always had a normal transfer of power
Compared to Ethiopia Tanzania is stable and fine

>Sounds like a pretty unwise thing to do to be honest
Why?
The Chinese didn't listen to his negotiations.
>However, after coming to power, President Magufuli initiated the renegotiation process and pressed the investors to bring down the lease period to 33 years instead of 99 years signed by the previous government.
>Magufuli administration also made it clear that there will be no tax or utility exemption for the Chinese investors and they will need government approval to start new operations at the port. However, the investors didn't meet the deadline issued by the Magufuli government, hence, the agreement got cancelled.

Sorry for the brainlet question, but how can China guarantee influence. Couldn't African countries just decide to say no to China's wishes if the want to (as is seen in OP)?

They could always default like Argentina and other countries. Just take out loans. Or accept having hospitals, schools, bridges, roads built, then not pay it.

Nice to see at least one African nation stand up to china, hopefully the rest follow

doubt it, they will more likely just throw down the money to neighboring countries and skip them. Tanzania also wants debt relief to fight covid19, so i think they'll get blow back from this.

That's the American way.

Based

Africa has been saying "fuck China" for the past month or so. They're fed up. Chinese people are actually being deported.

Now that China is out, which country will step in and exploit them?

>mainly thanks to the commie dictator
I think dictatorships are best for Africa. All of the most successful, safest countries in Africa have been run by lunatics. Rwanda went from a life expectancy of like 20 to around 70 within ten years because of their dictator.

Certain countries like Kenya and a lesser extent Namibia are just bitches to china mainly due to being easily bought, Kenya has a history of corruption and will probably only get a bit better if the entire country gets reformed.
Another problem is western countries/corpartations don't want to invest in africa.
There is a shift to the east but this shift is only happening because Chinese companies are the only ones really giving a damn about Africa and are making a lot of money from it.
It's not bad but at the same time it isn't good if your country is mainly influenced by one nation.
I watched a video of a white businessman on YouTube talk about it but can't remember the name of the video.

In a sense your correct, Botswana although a democracy has only had one ruling party and it has grown tremendously.
The problem is most African dictators are batshit crazy, from Mobutu's ziare to the central African republic's monarch.

Yes but the political gains of being the president who got your country’s roads fixed can be very potent

Glad to see Africans standing up to China

They’re even imprisoning Chinese and deporting them back to their bat-eating shithole

Maybe one day they can overthrow the French too

Based, not my money tho.

absolutely based, kind of cool to see africa getting its act together within my life time

>kind of cool to see africa getting its act together within my life time
hahahaha

CIA backroom deal for propaganda purposes. 100%

/thread

Tanzania already sorta hated China already and the government warned the Chinese months ago but the chinks did nothing

Cope
>hahahaha
Why are you laughing boyo

>The upside is better infrastructure for Africa
Better by what standards? Even in China, public infrastructure works constantly collapse. And I'm pretty sure there was an African country (Kenya?) where the Chinese were supposed to modernize the British built railways but the whole thing ended up costing way, way more than projected.

Falling for China's debt traps is indeed something only a drunkard can accept. Sadly it appears Greece and Italy are run by drunkards.

*sane dictators

Do we really need to remind you of the unhinged cartoon watching fuck who insisted he controlled the weather and beasts?

>boyo
simmer down ngubu, just dont think we'll be seeing the continent of africa get its shit together during our lifetime

>I-It's just memes gwailou! Trust me, the grorious communist party knows best and appoints only the best and brightest corporations to build public infrastructure. There's no intrinsic nepotism and corruption in totalitarian systems, stop being racist!

This nigga just posted something from 5 years ago

And it's from Hong Konger and an opinion article
nigga stop

You can't even read the shit without paying

Why are you laughing literal Somalian?

Attached: Abu-Sven al-Stockholmi.jpg (680x485, 37.81K)

Yes, because so much changed in the past 5 years.

Gee, I wonder why all articles critical of the CCP come from the only city in China that actually has free speech. It's not as if the CCP locks up journalists in mainland China, right? Riiiiiiiight?

Three posts in a row? How mad are you?

The chinese insect man has nothing on the might of the african bull

>South Africa US$2.5 billion to state-owned South African electrical utility Eskom arranged during the Jacob Zuma government.[49] As well as a R370 billion (US$25.8 billion) loan during the presidency of Cyril Ramaphosa.[50]
>Zambia US$6.4 billion of Zambia's total $US8.7 billion of debt is owned by China representing a large debt burden given the relatively small size of Zambia's economy.[51] In 2018, Zambian lawmakers debated whether Chinese loans, characterized as reckless and difficult to repay, put Zambian sovereignty at risk.[52] It was reported in late 2018 that the Zambian government is in talks with China that may result in the total surrender of the state electricity company ZESCO as a form of debt repayment since the country has defaulted on plethora of Chinese loans for Zambia's infrastructure projects.
>Djibouti Loans to Djibouti to develop a strategic port.[53] Chinese loans total 77% of the country's total debt.[51]
Republic of the Congo An estimated $7.1-billion in Chinese debt is held by the Republic of the Congo. The exact number is unknown even to the Congolese government.[51]

It doesn't seem like a lot of money.

>Yes, because so much changed in the past 5 years.
Nigga a lot can change in 5 years are you retarded

>Gee, I wonder why all articles critical of the CCP come from the only city in China that actually has free speech.
Nigga you can say whatever you want in China, it's a literal fact that Hong Kong niggas got a bias against China.

>Three posts in a row? How mad are you?
I'm just surprised you posted a 5 year old article my nigga

>Nigga you can say whatever you want in China
How's that 50 cents per post turning out for you? I'm not even gonna bother posting links about Chinese journalists and human rights advocates getting in trouble because you're probably going to call them biased anyway.

>How's that 50 cents per post turning out for you?
Niggas gotta resort to the shill meme
that's kinds said, bro.
>I'm not even gonna bother posting links about Chinese journalists and human rights advocates getting in trouble
What'd they get in trouble for nigga? It couldn't possibly be for trying to organize a revolt against the chinese goverment?
Or maybe you're going to say they were dissapeared for the "concentration camps" when China literally invited the journalist to Xinjiang

fuck off shill

>Criticizing the ruling party = inciting a revolt
Yeah man, we all know that Blomald Blumpft has to fear for his life because limpwristed nu-males constantly criticize him in the media.

>Sweden
Yes

>>Criticizing the ruling party = inciting a revolt
My niggas Chinese citizens criticize the CCP policies all the time
You know what they don't do?
They don't protest in the streets calling for Democracy now free China like some other retards.

Attached: 1586738141980.jpg (384x384, 22.05K)

Damn. They’re actually hiring chinks with decent English to shill now.

Yes Lu. We all know that unfilial citizens criticizing GLORIOUS CCP HARMONY will cause a coup. Sorry for questioning you.

If only America was as filial and blindly obedient.

>Yes Lu. We all know that unfilial citizens criticizing GLORIOUS CCP HARMONY will cause a coup
There's a difference between criticizing and yelling "DEMOCRACY NOW!!!1!+"
But I'm done since this thread is going to be stormed with a bunch of Yas Forumsnegros and their meme pictures

based

I'm sure most people living in shitholes would be willing to roll the dice and risk a few lunatics if it meant they had drinkable tap water
