I kinda agree with this, some shows are straight up degeneracy. I really don't give a fuck if you want to draw cute girls, if it doesn't have a story it has no reason to exist. So much anime is the same bullshit premise repeated with the same characters and plot tropes. Eromanga Sensei is a great example. MC is an author self-insert. Main girl is his sister, but not really, because of course Every other character is female and wants to fuck the MC. There is no actual plot, episodes blur together and the story is them basically just living the lives of rich kids with no supervision and unlimited free time. Nobody ever has sex.
Japan needs focus, if you're going to put the effort into making these shows creativity should be encouraged. I have no idea why shows that just copy each other still get funded.
