Bleach (NaOCl=sodium hypochlorite) oxidizes catecholamines (neurotransmitters) to the corresponding quinone (structure on top right). Said structure is unstable in that it 'reacts with itself' to form the adrenochrome precursor, leucochrome (bottom right). Leucochrome has similar redox potential as adrenaline therefore it only transiently exists before further oxidizing to adrenochrome by the action of a 2nd equivalent of bleach.
>TLDR: Adrenaline+2XBleach-->Adrenochrome
This reaction can be performed in a single flask, albeit in low yields & low purity. This is why you've seen patents relating to adrenochrome production using transition metals: lower oxidation potential than the terminal oxidant (i.e. bleach), higher purity.
Unfortunately, adrenochrome addicts have destroyed their ability to endogenously produce adrenaline. So even though this would be a harebrained scheme to endogenously source adrenochrome, it wouldn't work for the adrenaline deficient.

Theoretically yes, but it would be extremely (!) impure. Sourcing adrenaline is also difficult. In your thought experiments, consider tyramine or other precursors.
Disclaimer: Don't attempt to synthesize adrenochrome.

From my readings concerning use in humans & pharmicokinetics, it seems to cause similar reality distortion as LSD, dissociation akin to PCP, & confidence+social proclivity like MDMA.
