Greta Thunberg is the reason I work out. I have this fantasy where we start talking at the UN climate summit after party. We exchange a few pleasantries. She asks what I do. I say I loved her on CNN She laughs. I get my drink.

Transitioning to global green energy would require a fuckton of work. Performing a fuckton of work would create a fuckton of jobs? So why do people get to pretend like it would be "bad for the economy" when it would be good for literally everyone, except for people that work in fossil fuels, but, i dunno, you could give priority employment to people who have been displaced from existing energy jobs. There will be more than enough work going around anyway.
So why do so many people parrot the opinions of fossil fuel execs who talk blatant shit to protect their cash cow?

You have absolutely no conception of the sheer orders of magnitude that fossil fuels are superior in cost, energy density, and storage life compared to all known methods of energy production.

The breakthroughs required to go green would fundamentally change how humanity operates, and we're not there yet; there'll be absolutely no question or argument to the contrary when we are there.

I read recently, and not even from a climate denier source, that if all transport was was to go carbon neutral tomorrow, we would only have a reduction of around 10% of the green house gasses being emitted.
These people would be better off buying farms, although admittedly that's not to speak of the harmful shit that diesel emits, nor the radioactivity of soot particles from coal either.
