First masks are forbidden because they don't protect against COVID-19, then it's recommended that people wear masks/make masks to wear in public, and now they are being mandated in public places? What's really going on here? There are studies that show cotton/surgical masks do nothing to protect the wearer from COVID-19. Is this just another opportunity for the government to see how many sheeple will comply?
They need to calibrate the facial recognition technology. Your phone will verify your identity while the camera sees the current version of you with most of your face covered, that way regardless they can identify you by use of the facial recognition program being used that’s only seeing your eyes and cheeks.

>giving a fuck what your government says >thinking your government has your best interest in mind
I still just don't understand why healthy people have to hide away to "save" all these boomers. Why can't they isolate and the rest of us just go on with our lives?

>There are studies that show cotton/surgical masks do nothing to protect the wearer from COVID-19
Government didn't want people buying the disposable N95s and surgical masks because they didn't have enough stocks of them, that's all.
it's that the number of boomers who have to go to hospital, if left unmanaged, would surpass the capacity of health services, everywhere. this happened first in Italy. the potential numbers of deaths were never that large to begin with, which is why european govts left it so long before taking action, it was only when they saw how raw and hard italy's hospitals and staff got fucked by the amount of patients coming in, and not being able to administer sufficient care to all of them, as well as those who need treatment for other sicknesses, that they realised that it's a crisis needing managed.
that's what "flattening the curve" was all about. it's to save a) people who work for the health services, who bust their ass for shitty wages for what they do and b) the health service, which you shouldn't need explaining how vital this is for society
Boomers sacrificing convenience and comfort to help somebody else? user have you ever met a Boomer? They're not exactly the selfless type.

That's why you quarantine anyone over the age of 65 and/or people with any condition that may make them high risk. They stay home to avoid getting sick and going to the hospital and the economy doesn't collapse. What's so hard to understand?

> N95: creates a full seal around mouth and nose when worn correctly, blocks 95% of particles up to .3 microns > P95: as above, and blocks oils too, but has exhalation filter which won't prevent a sick person from exhaling germs > surgical mask: sterile, but does not create a full seal around your mouth and nose, is loose fitting, protects other people if a sick person coughs germs into it > scarves: something to cough germs into, hopefully get germs on when breathing in
The entire premise that masks spread contagions is the assumption that all people are niggers and will touch the germ-infected front of the mask to adjust it, or wear it wrong so their nose is exposed, or the side of their mouth, or on the top of their head when it gets uncomfortable, etc. It's not that the mask failed, it's the person wearing it who failed.
> Mid-Feb: What pandemic? You could still buy N95 masks by the 10-pack on Amazon. > Mid-March: Masks don't work! Stop buying masks! There was a chorus of "masks don't work" from every level, parroting know limitations for loose masks or N95 style masks worn improperly. Of course masks work, doctors would have no need of them if they didn't. But masks have protection limited to proper use - idiots wearing the mask sideways or washing an N95 in dish soap to "clean it" is just a waste of a mask. > Mid-April: Everyone in masks! By this point, Amazon and other outlets have ceased all sales of N95 or "good" masks to the general public, and production of new masks has been pushed into overdrive. With all the "good" masks either restricted or unavailable, suddenly, masks work again and are mandatory. If you didn't stock up in Feb, good luck getting any. A bandanna is just as good as a mask that you wear wrong anyway.
It was pure disinformation, aimed at preventing a run on effective protective gear by people who are too stupid to wear it properly in the first place, until the point where the items could be restricted for sale.
There was no masks in supply because they rely on china, so they lied about it to say face and damage control for globalism

It's because nobody really knows what the fuck is going on. Every day people are figuring out new shit about the virus, it's not like a flu where we already have hundreds of years of research. They're just realizing now that it is indeed airborne aids.

ok russian troll.

It's common sense that masks limit the spread, leaf.

>What's really going on here? Jews, user. It's the jews.
Nicholas Richardson
It's actually common sense that the virus is smaller than the weave of whatever you're putting on your face.
Jacob Baker
You do realize "muh russian troll" is no better than "literally a nazi" and "racist" at this point right?
Grayson Thompson
As i said, it limits exposure, it doesn't make you immune.
