What can we do to stop the rise of deaths of despair in this country?
Rising rates of suicide, drug overdose, and liver cirrhosis (alcoholism) reveal a deepening sense of hopelessness and acute anxiety among Americans. How do we fix this?

Reach out to lonely white people in your community. Socialize with them. Invite them to things. Get to know your neighbors.
Return to God via a restored, traditional Catholic Church that is on guard against the destructiveness of the jew, or a restored, anti-Israel, mainline Protestant faith.

I agree that the lack of community/family has led to an epidemic of loneliness, and that this corrosive emotion, among other factors, leads to self-medication through drugs and alcohol. Somehow, we need to raise our social capital and reconnect people.
Lutherans and Orthodox are good options.
If they are so lonely they are free to go out socialize and meet people. They turn to those things because they are mentally fragile children despite being in their 20s and 30s.
Chances are that this corona lockdown shit will raise deaths of despair. Forced self-quarantine + job loss is a bad combo for mental health, especially for those already on the edge before.

Bring back God in the picture, human beings cannot form a higher meaning on their own, that's why most anti-religious ideologies consist of nihilistic, depression riddled people. Religious men and women aren't depressed, don't have existential anxiety etc. Not to mention all the other good things that come with being religious.
