The single biggest thing is youtubers-to-be know they won't make money there so there;s not reason to go there. Yeah freedom of speech and blalbllablalb still it's a rather weak incentive.
It's not even a matter of tech. P2P gimmicks such as bitchute, lbry and dtube whatnot are really centralised indexers with P2P injections. They can still censor you if they want. P2P tech doesn't do anything and it's got many many issues. It's a back end most don't care about and don't wanna deal with the issues and complication of it. Yeah they can offload bandwith but that's about it really. You can totally put up a centralized alternative with more free speech with cheap ass bandwidth in a cheap Eastern European country. Still the main issue remains - MONEY
POL how do you you think you can attract people to a new platform? TikTok happened right? It's not really a competitor for anything. A meme was exploited by Chinks to make a platform. Look at Mixer. Despite being backed by Microsoft and its billions it's not going anywhere
Any ideas?
PS I think westerners have become so socialist they expect one platform to do everything just like like a socialist government. So I don';t think an alternative is viable at this time.
My problem with bitchute is technically someone can make a tool to monitor which ip addresses visited which videos - at least with youtube they have to ask google for that info. >just use a vpn Frankly I enjoy having informational videos play on my phone all the time - which takes me to point #2
Last I checked there is still no SDK or app for phones, especially ios. Until that happens adoption wont be large.
Grayson Jones
You're right but at the same time why even is "right wing" a pejorative ?
is left wing a similar pejorative?
Michael Edwards
>You can totally put up a centralized alternative with more free speech with cheap ass bandwidth in a cheap Eastern European country. I guess you are right, Ivan. >Still the main issue remains - MONEY Couldn't you just ask VKontakte to add a videoplatfrom? They would already have some user base, I guess.
Colton Butler
hang in there fren. working on a true p2p service. multiple levels of encryprion, data sharding and fragmentation. going to be totally free to use. only con is your going to have to offer up some storage space and bandwidth as a user.
Hudson Edwards
Gab bros
Elijah Walker
>Lol people interested in earning money don't make political videos. They do let's plays or family vlogs You would have to get all kinds of content on a plaftorm if you want it to become influental and known amongst normies.
Henry Ross
This. Many normies are getting sick of YouTube's censorship as well, but alternatives are either horrifically designed or overrun by us.
William Kelly
>only con is your going to have to offer up some storage space and bandwidth as a user. As much as I cheer you for trying new things, this will be a show-stopper for it to gain acceptance.
Jacob Morgan
LBRY has got none that I've seen. Still not going anywhere. Mobbed? LOL libshit retard I assume
Have you missed the part when politics has got injected into anything? Burger what are you evern doing here? Fucktard
Yeah another issue. I know this one
VK is a monitored by the FSB and owned by an Uzbek LOL. I was talking about Baltic states mostly haha
I dont believe in P2P alternatives. Practically zero benefits and lots of issues
Joshua Richardson
Normies don't even care about anything besides themselves what's the point in trying to reach them?
Connor Edwards
>Couldn't you just ask VKontakte to add a videoplatform? You could just go ahead and write an e-mail or a message on their platform.
Julian Kelly
That has nothing to do with what I said. The only people who make political videos with the purpose of earning an income are only total shills like Styx
Charles Lewis
Bitchute is 9 mins from Britcuck’s 77th Brigade which does internet ops kek
Jason Bell
YOUTUBE IS OWNED BY GOOGLE IF YOU LOOK FOR CHILD PORN OR LOOK UP PEDOPHILIA ON WIKIPEDIA YOU USE GOOGLE BECAUSE YOU WERE TRACKED BY GOOGLE
Angel Collins
>monitored by the FSB That's probably still much more free than Germany and most other EU countries. We have quite heavy censorship on Youtube. E.g. muslim chimpouts get simply removed from Youtube.
Evan Turner
And Yas Forums is run by the NSA but you're still here
Cameron Cruz
I don’t think they need to run Yas Forums to dump the database, they made the encryption standards you brainlet
Okay, so your argument is that they run the entire internet. Great one.
Daniel Johnson
The Russian government and its cronies are too incompetent to capitalize on the western issues. All they can do is to buy bots for Russia Today channels and then expose themselves doing so while replying to the opposition that they don't.
You see what we're dealing with here? hahahaa
Nathaniel Phillips
IT’S TOO LATE WE NEED MASSIVE GENOCIDE AND THE WIKIPEDIA WILL SAY THEN THE GLORIOUS GYPSIES KILLED ALL THE WHITE MEN AND THEN THEY CONTINUED TO HOOLIGANLIFE WITH BEER UNTIL INFINITY
Justin Jones
Google decided to destroy the entire internet by giving advertising companies carte blanche on what's right and what's wrong. They bent the knee to these companies and old money met new, so no possible alternative can succeed as, no matter what, if your content isn't PC and fitting with the narrative then no advertising revenue for you. We have google to fall back on.
Oliver Jenkins
>reddit spacing >proper caps/english indicating vpn phone poster >calls it POL >"Any ideas?" maybe kys? you early summerfag? redditfag? glownigger?
for a russian growing up reading and writing with moonrunes it is op is a fag and so are you
Evan Barnes
Youtube has been cutting back the ad revenue they pay for years. More and more content creators have needed to make their own $ by building commercials and sponsorships directly into the video instead of banking on youtube ad revenue. Plus youtube demonitizes their videos over bullshit reasons, often false alarms their automated systems detect. By the time the demonitization is lifted the majority of views are already done. A video gets like 90% of its views in the first 48 hours, unless it goes viral. So if youtube automatically flags a video and does not allow ad money until it is manually approved a week later the youtuber misses out on 90%+ of the income. Lots of creators have complained about it. >make unoffensive video >youtube auto flags and demonitizes >protest flag >takes days to be manually reviewed >video unflagged after it has gotten 90% of the views it will get total
Adam Jackson
You cant have platforms without moderation (censorship)
There has to be some level of quality control. Just a few people posting filth can take down an entire platform.
That all costs money.
John Gray
VidMe was the greatest video site of all time.
They took it from us.
Kayden Powell
You could see the flags of the people who were watching live
it was the best
Blake Gonzalez
The only alternative is some kind of federation protocol so there are many self operable tube sites joined by one managing organization, site, and apps.
Adrian Harris
hahahahaah Vidme had hate speech rules and it number 2 in their guidelines.
Yet another P2P bullshit
You can moron. Minimal moderation .Youtube used to do that you faggot
Christian Adams
If you come up with a reasonable idea Paypal and the credit card processors will shut you down. They are left wing's enforcers
