Faith is a journey. You usually start off blindly believing as one who was born into a particular religion, then you start asking critical questions, doubting, and reconsidering your faith, perhaps even becoming an atheist for some time as I did, and finally you come to a confident belief in a certain faith based on good reason and countless hours of research. Some never get past the first stage and blindly believe for their entire lives, some never get past the second and fall into the abyss of atheist, but the truly intelligent make it to the final stage.
