Is cop seen as a shit tier job in the US? It seems strange to me that a a cop's education is just 25 weeks. In Norway you have to take a 3-year college degree to become a cop.

Cops skill set is that of your average walmart employee. $41,000 a year + gold plated healthcare, pension, which they get to retire after only 20 years. Meanwhile I'm a mech engineer w/ a degree from GATech making $7.25 an hour with no health insurance and will NEVER get to retire.

Our police are effective. In high crime areas they drive blacked out fast cars and kick ass. And in nice parts of town they drive white cars and are very friendly.

I took the 40hr CA State "PC832" at an academy.

Its same as 1st week of real cop academy, the min required for Building Inspector, Health Inspector, Dog Catcher, etc.

The main idea was "if you are a really good cop, you can get people to give up their 4th Amend right and do search, then you don't need to worry about Illegal Search".

Of course, real crooks don't play that, so quickly it all becomes about intimidating normies into allowing cops to search for minor drugs, too big of knives, etc.

If you ain't down with that, the other cops will smell it during your 1yr training, and you wont become a cop.
