Meanwhile, Oklahoma City police were examining a black pickup with Texas tags that matches the description of the truck seen leaving with Amber. The truck was hauled into the police garage about 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
The full-size, short-bed pickup, with tinted windows and blood on the inside, was impounded on Tuesday from a home on S May Avenue. It was held for two days at Puckett's Wrecker Service, 314 SW 29, until a wrecker driver realized there may be a connection between the truck and the abduction.
Oklahoma City police Capt. Bill Citty confirmed the truck was impounded as part of a domestic call that resulted in an arrest. "They're going to take precautions to see if it's a truck from down there in Arlington," Citty said. "But at this time it seems to be a remote possibility."
Puckett's night dispatcher Mark Hawkins said, "We saw it on the news like everybody else. Black Ford pickup, Texas tags - sure we put it together."
