A lot of what Karut says about China’s goals are true. They are using Australia as their fleshlight as a testing ground before they move on to buying Europe and Africa. At this point the best way to stop China is to stop doing all business with them and embargo all their exports. Either automation will have to replace human labour(long term solution) or military intervention and enforcing an embargo is the short term way to get US companies to leave the region. Either way, giving money to china is only making them stronger each day and sooner or later they are going to catch up.

That’s where automation comes in lad. The only reason the west is so dependant on China is mainly wages. Wall Street can get away with paying less money by outsourcing to China, and China gets more money in the long run because their job market’s capacity increases. If you automate away all that labour, you’re no longer using chink workers. And in the long run automation will wind up ending globalism as machinery can do jobs much more efficiently and cheaper than a human can.

You’d be surprised, a lot of estimates are saying that 46-56% of jobs can be automated right now. A lot more money will go into replacing human labour now as well. It’s gonna to be a gradual thing over the next 10-15 years or so. And yes, the west has a lot of work to do in that area, and sure, infrastructure changes don’t happen overnight but it’s really the only way to get off of chinese production. Companies are already starting to pull out of china too. Jinping knows this and it’s why he’s securing trade agreements with African nations. Do I think it’s too late to stop a cold war? Probably, the west has slacked on chinese labour for 50 years and it was certainly enough time for China to become the third largest GDP in the world behind the Mutts and Eurofags.
