Half the cost per flight hour and half the cost of the air frame itself; while doing everything the EF2000 can do and has a larger weapon selection.
Plus, you are get it pre-wired and pre-plumbed as a EA18 so you can get a SEAD/DEAD plane that just needs the sensor and EW pods installed.
Also, the F18 is rough surface capable.
