As a white liberal I've never felt guilt when watching these things, or even slightly associated that with why such a scene would be included in a movie.

For some, watching villains taste their own medicine feeds an animalistic part of their psyche. For others, watching extreme violence is interesting, and the fact that it's being performed on a person that has done terrible things makes it more "acceptable".
