'Beijing has worked on a 'soft decoupling' from [the need for] foreign demand for a number of years, but Covid-19 could cause it to accelerate. Europe is in a pretty precarious position. 'It already was, and is now more so. Globally, it's no longer a case of sink or swim together.' Prof Brown argues that Britain will need to take a rational approach. 'You have to strip the emotion away from it. 'If in a few months' time Europe's growth is poor, America is struggling but China is OK, who do we turn to to get good returns and find economic possibilities? At what point will political reservations be overruled by terrible growth?' He added: 'It's natural that people are very furious now and looking for someone to blame. But, as we emerge from this, the entity that we blame for starting the crisis might be the one which rescues us. It's a public health issue now but it will end up in the field of economics.' And in that there is one clear favourite: China. The winner's enclosure awaits.

A warning for the budding journalist- a lot of bad things have happened to me since I decided to give people an alternative to the standard narrative pushed by the entire legacy media. The worst thing (that I'd like to talk about) has been the attacks against my personal relationships. Social capital is a tricky thing to build and some of my most delicate relationships- some that took a lifetime to build- have been destroyed by a psychopathic group that is dead set on ensuring that there is only one point of view- only one narrative. So insane and paranoid that they can't stand even one voice in opposition. The moneyed interests that own the media will allow no competition, and be sure that they will come after you as they did me if you stand against them.
That said, it's my opinion that these "State shutdowns" are an attack by foreign interests on the American people- particularly middle class families.

When things "closed" we learned that there are two types of people- essential and non-essential. The essentials are State workers, janitors cleaning empty buildings, marijuana sellers, liquor stores, State road workers, and the large corporations- McDonalds, Napa Auto Parts, and Safeway grocery stores. Who decided that these were essential during a pandemic? Is road work really essential in an emergency? Why is the State encouraging people to smoke marijuana during a noro-virus outbreak? Why are State-run liquor stores essential? Who are these State workers who are at home 'working' and still leeching their salaries from American taxpayers? Why are certain corporations exempt from these ruinous economic times? How is fast food take-out not a disease vector? Only the normal people are made to suffer- only the average middle class family and the small business is crushed by these heavy-handed State actions. Why are the rural hospitals closed?
