Russia has gold and foreign currency asset that it can use or liquidity, US has infinate ake money printing machine.
Problems is that money prining is bussy injecting cash into stock to keep it artificialy high, while middle class and poor class is overlloked. If US started injecting money to middle and poor class, then prices of common goods would inflate.
Theorthetically, US shale is going to blow up ompletely and file for bankrupcy, that is 68% of US oil production. Once corona crisis settles, demand rises up, both Russia and Saudis will have much bigger market share, therefore profits.
If it was worse for Russia, then Russia would not have done this on purpose during literal pandemic, and Saudis were in on it.

This isn't good for anyone producing oil period. Storage is expensive and the whole world is shut down and there's no travel. nor the Saudis or the Russians want oil _this_ cheap.
Yea... US economy runs extemely ineficiently and their gold value is worthless compared to the printing.
US runs on huge defficit, while Russia uses reserves to patch up deficit until new source of income arrives.
Though to think that Russia is going to go down, is to not follow why this was even done in the ist place. Though mutt fanaticists don't care, so I will let you time prove me right.
I would say Russia is very resilient, and the economy is already shit anyway so nothing will change.

Russias economy hardened to global fluctuations after if was sanction and de facto cut of from the west and made protectionist.
Damage will be there, but no where near collapsing as mutt hegemonists hope.
