Biological sex is well defined, with male, female and a very small percentage of chromosomal disorders.

Now, concerning the concept of "gender". If you define it has a "fluid" concept define by social and self-representation.., then yes, there is an infinite number of gender (and it becomes a totally useless scientific concept, as it dosen't bring clarity).
If you define it based on biological quantifiable markers, such as chromosomes, then there is 2 genders.
