Modern Prussians are Poles/Russians and modern Germans are Turks lmao

There are plenty of Prussians left, although they may not identify as Prussian. They may identify as Northern Polish, for example, but they are still genetically Prussian.

The Germans of Prussia were settlers/colonists from Germany and other parts of western Europe. They were kicked out of Poland specifically because they kept a distinct ethnicity and culture and looked down on their slavic/baltic neighbors.

The country was only called Prussia because Friedrich III, Duke of Brandenburg, who also owned OG Prussia, wanted to crown himself king of something. Since Brandenburg was part of the Holy Roman Empire and already had an emperor but Prussia lay outside of it, he therefore crowned himself king of Prussia and after a while that name was simply applied to all the land which was under his family's, the Hohenzollern's, domain. Prussia was always ruled from Berlin or Potsdam, meaning modern east Germany is the political core and inheritor of Prussia, if anyone is.

There never was a prussian ethnicity, since, I hope I've made it clear, Prussia was simply the name applied to all the provinces ruled by the Hohenzollerns, which later encompassed much of northern Germany, which is why Bavarians generically referr to all northern Germans as prussians.

There is a lot of slavic blood in east germany because there were a lot of slavs living there before Germans colonised the area in the middle ages. Prussians recieved their lands as vassals of the Polish king, in the first place. They were simply kicked out when they got too late with rent, and long after they broke their treaties.

Prussians were never a German tribe, it was a kingdom that stretched from the most western to the most eastern parts of Germany. Basically it was comprised of most protestant Germans. Bavarians, Swabians and Austrians in the south were ans still are catholic

The pretext by itself is not more or less relevant. There is no difference whether it was a day ago, 1000 years ago or never happened.

It is made relevant functionally: the new borders are recognized by all, not contested by anyone and local population consider themselves citizens.
