It's an indescribable feeling to listen to him. The thing that makes Hitler's speeches famous is the way he completely reveals himself to his audience in an emotional manner á la "Here I am", that makes a lot of the magic. The way he appears to be completely open to the listeners, without hiding behind a character and telling of his personal and political development. He just grows as a person on the stage. Sometimes he makes well-spoken praises about Germany, other times he states pure political facts, sometimes he just wants to motivate the workers&soldiers or to look back on past achievements with mirth. Often he would pose a sort of fatherly figure towards his audience, especially when lecturing the Hitler Youth.
Hitler picked up his ability to hold speeches by actually having political talks in working class pubs in Bavaria, back in the early days of the NSDAP. His way of talking is actually pretty close to the common people at the time and not the brutish pathos of the Bolsheviks nor the conciliatory rhetoric that slimy demogogic sycophants during the Weimar Republic use.
He is openly radical, and that is what makes it amazing. For a man to speak out his mind, to speak unadultered truth, and to have the power and the will to carry out his own words.
His speeches to foreign governments are suprisingly pleasant actually, not aggressive, just affirming. And from what we know of his private talks, he was an agreeable man.
