Sleep Pain

Does anyone get pain from sleeping?

I sleep with my arm under my pillow. When I wake up my arm is numb and shoulder hurts. But I feel like there is no other way to sleep.

Back sleeping is hard for me, sometimes when I back sleep my hands go numb. What the fuck is that about?

But trie to buy a better bed

I always slept this way too and I didn't experience those symptoms before but recently I have the same problem than you OP.

>Does anyone get pain from sleeping?
Is it really so hard to pick a sleeping position that doesn't make you go numb?

>My 400 lb life borger
Oh

Me too, OP. Can only fall asleep on my stomach and I have to wedge my arm/s under the pillow but then my shoulders are fucked when I wake up. I also can't move my arms ina. Certain way because my shoulders hurt. Sometimes randomly when I extend my right arm it feels like there's something really sharp piercing under my shoulder blade. Hell, laying on my back now makes my shoulders hurt and arms fall asleep.

My girlfriend stays up late because she got layed off. Been keeping me up. Try sleeping with a pillow between your legs. Helps me fall asleep

You unironicly have high blood pressure

Tfw I have high blood pressure. Man, this sucks. I guess at least now I know why my shit is fucked.

Yes.
Exercise and do stretches during the day.
Make sure you maintain good posture when sitting or standing or walking.

Based. Thank you, MyPillow™.

its because you're a fat burger

Datamining thread to see if their poisoning is working.
Stop eating carbs and preservatives and anything with onions in it. In fact, stay away from anything that isn't from the Produce/Butcher/Dairy section of your grocery store. Even bread is suspicious unless you can find a local baker with fewer than five ingredients.

Some people just like to tie themselves in knots before sleeping, everyone's a bit different. pain is ok, but nausea is something to be aware of.

Had this weird issue for a couple years. Couldn't sleep on my left side for more than twenty minutes without getting nausea. Just the oddest thing. Normally a side sleeper, but it bugged me. finally found out it was fucking kidney cancer. Stage three, lost the kidney sadly. Turns out laying was putting pressure on the tumor, in turn putting pressure on various organs, causing nausea.

If you get nausea laying a specific way, and no other way, get scanned.

Literally just get pills for it. Your dick will never be hard again tho

Ah, phantom girlfriend.
It's your biological clock telling you to get a wife.

i wake up feeling lke shit every morning. bought a new bed three years ago and it was way too soft. then added a memory foam topper thinking that would help. now its like a fucking water bed without enough water in it. look up the "heavenly bed" or any good bed that hotels use. its on my list of things to get. when i was a teenager i could sleep on stairs with a guitar under my head. now that Im a member of the slave class, sleep is everything.

have you tried doing less drugs before going to bed? particularly downers
that allows your body to move itself into more comfortable positions

I only experience pain when I'm awake.

>But I feel like there is no other way to sleep.
ditch the pillow

Welcome to aging. You are pinching nerves and have lost the muscle mass needed to support the weight of your unhealthy sleeping position. Over time you will do permanent nerve and connective tissue damage by sleeping this way. Find another way to sleep. There is a multi-billion dollar industry making better sleep solutions, take advantage of it.
Your hands going numb while on your back is suggesting of something going on in your back. Go see a sleep specialist or a neurologist.

It's normal. I used to get two fingers on each hand that would go numb. There's a nerve in the neck that can get pinched when you sleep that causes hand numbness.

I got a California king-sized bed with a great mattress - worth every penny. Don't share it with a GF, you need the whole thing to try different positions that work for you. Try different sized pillows and different firmness. A small, firm pillow is my go-to pillow, keep my neck horizontal. A big pillow between your legs also helps if you get back pain.

Checked. I have pills but stopped taking them due to the conflict of interest. Just another thing to have to live with, I suppose.

The other option is to do a lot of of weight and mobility training to keep yourself fit and flexible enough for your crazy sleep position, but it is a losing battle as you get older.

I wake up nauseous and dizzy. Generally feel like shit all day and a tad better at night.

>I sleep with my arm under my pillow. When I wake up my arm is numb

you just have to figure out how to place your head so it's not cutting off blood supply in your arm. Obviously sleeping on your arm will make it go numb

Pol Guide to a good sleep:
- Exercise 1 hour per day
- Eating schedule so that dumps are in the morning
- Sleep Number bed (adjust exactly to your body)
- Premium king-sized feather pillows
- Wake with dawn, sleep 2 hours after dusk
- No eating after dusk
- No screens or night-mode screens after dusk
- Firm threadcount sheets
- Sleep alone (separate bed)
- Foam Ear plug, optional pillow over head
- Support pillow for knees (if needed)
- No work or mental engagement after dusk
- No window coverings, get attuned to natural day cycles

Enjoy your perfect sleep.

You need more excercise and muscle. No myscle, its only joints hitting ur bed

>Back sleeping is hard for me, sometimes when I back sleep my hands go numb.
HOW? do you weigh 500 pounds?
the answer is: sleep on the back without a pillow. it's the proper way.

I wish I could sleep on my back. When I'm really sleepy I can sleep on my sides, but that hurts the hell out of my shoulders. Back sleeping keeps me wideawake, but as soon as I turn on my belly I could be out in an hour.

Lose weight and walk around more you lazy fat fuck.

there's nothing more comfy than stomach sleeping, it's like getting a hug from your bed

Also, the bed is only for sleeping and fucking. No laptop work or anything that is not about helping you get to sleep, aside from fucking.

I sleep on my back on the floor with a pillow. Beds always fuck my neck up.

Try a thicker pillow so you can sleep on your side without your arm under it.

>- No window coverings, get attuned to natural day cycles

Umm sure if you live in the sticks where there aren't artificial lights blasting through your windows

I got black paper shades which completely block out all light and made my room pitch dark and my sleep quality changed dramatically

>it's like getting a hug from your bed
while fucking up your spine

You have a pinched nerve in your neck.

if it's really so damaging then why is it so comfortable?

That's not your shoulders user. That is your neck. Your spine is fucked to some extent and you should see a neurosurgeon or at least an orthopedist for it.
I know because I went though the same shit and also dealt with "migraines " all my life.
What happened was that when I was about 5 I fell of a tree and apparently ever since then I had very little of my discs on 2 levels of my cervical spine left. When I finally went to a doctor because I had problems with a paralysis like shit and pain in between my shoulder blades like you described, I found out that I have no disks left in my neck on 3 levels, and had to have an emergency surgery.
Guess what? No pain, numbness, no problems waking up in pain and other silly shit rhat I took for granted, after the surgery.
It doesn't have to be that bad in your situation, it most likely isn't but what you describing is definitely from your neck.
When you extend your arm try to move your neck as if you were stretching it in all directions and see when the pain goes away

not Yas Forums.
you are overweight by the description that you gave us. you don't work your upper body is the reason your shoulders hurt when sleeping on you stomach. your arms go numb from not sleeping on 2 pillows and having each arm placed the right way.
any more questions miss heavy hitter?

I live downtown in a city of million and I have 25 ft windows in my bedroom with no coverings. It's doable.

Back sleeping sounds like thoracic otlet syndrome or ulnar nerve inpigment at tge elbow or wrist. Stretch accordingly.

Shoulder or side sleeping positions can strain the muscles. Stretch accordingly.

Stretch accordingly means shoulder girdle neck back and chest stretching.

I have severe back pain when I wake up. I have to roll around on the ground and stretch for about 10 minutes to get the pain to relent a little. By the end of the day it’s not that bad. If I do a half hour of yoga I can get the pain to go away completely

The big blue hardware store sells a brand of mattress that rhymes with ruft and beetle. Queen is sub 600 dollars. Its very very good.
I blew up my lower back years ago. A day in the garden requires three days if recovery... not since acquiring said mattress. Also dont wake up with numb arm from side sleeping.
