I am a universalist. I believe truth should be accepted wherever it is found.
Regarding spiritual truth, I believe there is really only one religion and the various religions and philosophies of the world are approaching it from different angles.
I align myself with Neoplatonism the most because I am anti-authoritiarian and believe in the sovereignty of the individual to find truth and develop wisdom according to his own nature by experimentation upon himself.
I am against authoritarian religion, fundamentalism, repression of sexual desires and antagonism to the world, and the elevation of religious institutions above personal needs.
Metaphysics
There is the One/God above and transcendent to creation. I believe the One is both personal and impersonal, reciprocating with how you approach.
There are gods who are universal principles behind creation. They exist within creation and are bound to and functionaries of fate/karma. The planetary gods are within this category.
There are lower daemons (good and bad) who operate more on the earthly, human level of reality.
The human being is meant to develop wisdom and move towards the One.
