I was a barkeeper a few months back, but the bar had to close due to corona and I was laid off.
Fucking hated it. Son of a bitch boss took all the tip, had to work overtime and was paid off the books. If and fucking when I was paid.

I get paid by the job instead of by the hour
I had a good teacher so I know a few short cuts
I only bid for easy 1 man jobs. I make more than enough to sustain myself and I only work like ~20 hours a week
however if i tried to raise a family on this i'd get fucked

I'm a DHL Packagenigger. Work 38.5h/week and get 2150€/month after taxes.

It's a tough job but also fun and I get to rent my flat and have the gf stay home.

Like I help companies transition from legacy ERP systems to my companies software. Pay is decent. Customers can be demanding with deadlines but are generally nice. Seems like a dead end career unless I just want to be upper management. Not much room for growth. IDK

I'm fine with someone who saying they need the job for money, but there is a difference in people working to pay bills and people who want a job so they have extra money on the weekends.
Most of the stupid questions I ask are just to see if you can make eye contact and have a conversation. You'd be surprised how many people can't even do that.

Just lost a chance at good job, fourth interview because I failed this question. I mean I said because it was something I enjoyed doing, that I'm good at and that it's the kind of job I want.
