My point is this: There is no evidence I would profit from this and it is unnecessary tech I don't want to use. On the other hand is the authoritative power arising from a chipped-identity way to big, government got more data than they need already.

As for a universal identification system, you don't really need to implant such a thing. Regular biometrics being paired to something like a social security number would work. It also isn't THAT secure if it is RFID based, someone could figure out what someone else's ID is using the same devices used in infrastructure and make a chip that spat out that ID
You could also cut it out and replace it to get a different one
