Europe Carrier Force

Should there be a multinational European carrier force based around the QE? Would this increase NATO cooperation?

QE is shit, I'd rather trust the french when it comes to carriers

based snek

and their ONE carrier that keeps breaking down?

>battle proven
>has it's own Hawkeyes
>unlimited range
>better interaction with the US fleet

Carriers keep being refurbished all the time, the primary failing of the french is not having at least a second carrier so they always have one active. Just look at the US carrier force, 1/3 of them is inactive and being serviced at any given time.

Yes please take over world police role I'm tired of fucking paying for it

Why are you hiding your German flag?

>Should there be a multinational European carrier force
no, waste of money
just bomb it / nuke it
here's hoping
it'd hopefully mean a return to colonialism / imperialism

RAMP

>Should there be a multinational European carrier force
No, the countries that matter alredy have an aircraft carrier

>is not a supercarrier.

If you don't have at least three carrier groups, you might as well not have even try.
Carriers exist to project force. Projecting some force some of the time isn't enough. Oh yeah, we'll fight you in 6 months when we got off the fucking dock, LOL.

>unlimited range
literal meme, no carrier has unlimited range they're constaly dependant on auxillery ships for resupply

so quality over quantity?

Carriers are old hat.

It's still more capable than the QE by virtue of being able to launch fixed wing EW aircraft alone. Also having catapults makes it more future proof since that means it can launch most combat craft with little adaptions whereas you have to rely on your American masters fir aircraft since QE can only launch STOVL aircraft. Unless you develop native STOVL planes you will have to buy American.

Why is the QE shit? What makes the CdG better in your eyes?

>please pay for our carriers
>no, you don't get to say what we do with them

>please pay for our nukes
>um, we'll protect you too with them
>no, you don't get some of them
>no, you don't get a red button

sharing weapons by sharing the bill is shite.

No there shouldn't be any European carrier force. Dismantle the EU already for the good of all of us

Obviously 2 QE class carriers are more capable in the sense that you always have one carrier active compared to France which only have one available half of the time but individually the CdG is better.

If NATO collapsed Germany wants to do that with British and French nuclear weapons.

lol unless those sailors on the deck are 20 feet tall, that's the smallest aircraft carrier I've ever seen. And what's that ramp up front?? lol is it so tiny that planes can't even take off without a ramp???

Please uncuck your navy, Europe.

>It's still more capable than the QE
not really, ours can be in two different places at once and carry 3 times as many aircraft, so..

Krautland doesn't even meet the 2% GDP minimum for NATO.

>Europe
>military
Ahahahaha user stop you’re killing me.

It can only launch STOVL aircraft due to lack of catapults. Catapults enable you to launch larger aircraft with more payload. EW aircraft tend to be too large to launch without catapults and are a very important part of a carrier group's EW and detection capability so a a carrier with catapults will always be superior in that regard. Also not having catapults narrows the airplanes you can use alot, whereas most combat craft can be serviced by carriers with catapults with some modification.

How? It has a lower sortie rate, lower carry capacity, worse sensors, less automation and the generators have had constant issue.

Well the America class is smaller and it's the largest non-American carrier.

This wouldn't necessarily be meant for competing against the USA, it's more for strengthening the European part of NATO.
