That bronze thing underneath the main dome is fucking 8 stories tall. That pedestal or entablature along the top of the walls is am open air walkway with a small metal railing along the edge. To get to the top of the dome, you take a stairwell that winds up in between 2 layers of dome, it is the shit of dreams.
