That's actually the default way of percepting yourself as existing with time as a causalistic construct so ironically you're actually healthy in comparison to me or other people. It could just be genetics in a sense that religions or whatver made it so people were bred to be born like this so they're more attuned to a deity/temporal being like if they were its flesh/cell making it up. When you consider the multiverse Zues and the such are real and so are the titans but it would be a grave error to consider them remotely human and not lose your sanity the moment you see them for what they are since seeing your true self can be jarring but another being outside the sphere of reality you inhabit is another thing in itself.

Time is alive and thinks for itself. We're not really enslaved by it but huddled together with it. We affect time much as time affects us.

It doesn't really have a shape that is perceptible to us. We have made observations, but those observations are inherently limited in scope. The major issue really has to do with the limits of "energy" and our understanding of thermodynamics not really physical boundaries.

Which is why the cyclical universe makes sense in that context. All of history exists simultaneously, yet our perception of where and what we experience in this cyclical history is time. We create order out of relative chaos through perception.

This also leads to a rather esoteric argument about the Universe in general but I doubt many want to think about that.
