Stalking the Wild Pendulum: On the Mechanics of Consciousness by Itzhak Bentov
looks dank thanks
i generally avoid any non-scientific books that use the word "quantum" but this one looks alright
Why do so many rave about this book, but not cite any results from it?
Start with the corpus hermeticum before you start diving into new age rhetoric.
anyone here read the secret teachings of all ages?
is it worth picking up?
is that an honest question or are you just being a faggot?
>Stalking the Wild Pendulum: On the Mechanics of Consciousness by Itzhak Bentov
looks fucking dope actually. who is Itzhak Bentov?
its more about the big picture really
>but not cite any results from it?
Because there are none.
The Kybalion is fucking cringe. It's just New Thought faggotry dressed in Hermetic robes.
Read the Corpus Hermeticum
As above, so below. Your next step is to just take the step.
that looks like what i'm looking for, thanks. is this the one?

already got this one on my list, but worried it may be a bit too fruity. is it a serious book or is it like The Secret for people that think they're smart?
fuck yeah
Yes, it is the best overview of Western esoteric knowledge. Just beware that Hall is a Mason/Rosicrucian apologist. That in and of itself is not necessarily bad, just that you know his biases, and take the information with a grain of salt.
I don't see Magical Me or Gadding With Ghouls on that list. Into the garbage it goes.
ok will do. i thought it was a good introduction that made me want to read more. i'd still recommend it for anyone thats curious since its such a short read and just hits the big topics
Franz Bardon - Initiation Into Hermetics
You can find the PDF online.
Cutting Through Spiritual Materialism
Yes but try to find the color illustrated version
Well, now that you read the Kybalion, go get a lobotomy so you can start from scratch and actually read the real deal: Corpus Hermeticum
kek have some titties
It's good for lore but he atributes way too much to the masons, I think there was a similar book but the name eludes me right now.
feel like taking a minute to redpill us on the rosicrucians?
thanks frens
gonna pick it up for some lockdown reading
its sort of a 1920's overview of hermetic teachings
Based, the whole Bardon package is nice and probably is the least shady thing you could find.
I think Ogdoadic magick was chill as well, once it gets to crowlean things it starts getting nasty in many senses.
this looks amazing
Book is pretty kick ass
Agreed
read this book you goddamn communist heathen
Nice azn milkers she's got.
Great novel, especially part one. Questionable author, though.
you just read trash OP
the great books of the western world is a 54 volume set designed to walk the children of the elite through the 'great conversation' that is the backbone of western civilisation and ready them for their role in the ruling class. it is the foundation of the original 'liberal education' given only to those of the global elite taught in swiss boarding schools and the absolute top universities like oxford, eton, harvard and yale.
luckily they can all now be found online here libgen.is
also read anything by carroll quigley. tragedy and hope etc.
You know Christians would get a lot less hate on Yas Forums if they weren't so fucking obnoxious.
You don't know that. Could be flat.
Naturally the Emerald Tablets which I belive that proceeds from..
One of the highest consciousness books on the planet is the I AM Discourses albiet a known work of fiction, very interesting it would calibrate so high..
In Japan there is a new sacred temple with a very important energy field called the World Shrine at Suza built to honor the I AM principle
Don't mind him, he's a WASP.
Why not the classic? The Golden Bough? Or is Frazer no good now, since his name's been dragged through the mud for accepting second hand accounts.
Also, The Saint John's college has a Great books program as well

Third edition*, 12 vooumes, 1905-16, not the condensed edition, unless it's from the middle 50's. Even that one had some stuff removed.
