As we all know, 9/11 had a terrible impact not only on national security and the global economy, but it also permanently altered everyday life. Heightened security measures and endless wars have forced us into a perpetual state of emergency where more and more of our rights are chipped away and our bond between our fellow citizens is fractured.
While the current quarantine situation might seem fun now that we are all at home and have received our Trumpbux, we still have a long way to go before life can resume normally. And even once it resumes "normally", certain things will never go back to the way they once were. This thread will save as a discussion on how we think life will be altered once the dust has settled on the coronavirus.
A brief list of things I think could happen or are happening: >No sports, concerts, or public gatherings for 6 months to 1 year leading to a loss of culture >One big step closer towards a cashless society >Increased likelihood of more data collection/tracking of personal data for the "health and safety" of all >The fall of mom-and-pop shops and rise of vertically integrated big businesses >Digital relationships, dating apps, OnlyFans, Twitch Thots/Simps, MGTOW, etc. all getting more extreme >Society becoming more utilitarian ("economy needs to open", "forget the old people", etc.) >Nationalism and closed borders >And perhaps the biggest which would be an escalating conflict with China
I'll be here to discuss and keep the thread going.
The pro-China propaganda will be in full swing once niggerball and Disney movies are back on the menu

Agreed. Hopefully the US and UK recognize China concealing the true situation happening in Wuhan and the rest of the country.

Stay inside. Burn furniture. Eat soup. Write. Die; winter is just upon us. Not all times were great. You saw more than your share of paradise, admit it. No more, I guess. No reason to expect any. anyway.
>certain things will never go back to the way they once were Every person who expresses this sentiment needs to be viewed as a possible operative serving the interests of the Chinese communist regime.
Any attempt at normalizing the viewpoint that society will change in some fundamental way due to the virus needs to be understood as enemy propaganda intended to undermine the American way of life and demoralize the American people in preparation for conflict with China.

Maybe not "great," but rather "out-sized."
We lived in an out-sized era; decadent, most of us fat and happy. Well, that may not quite rip from us easily, but there will be people pulling on it. Shit keeps changing.
>Every person who expresses this sentiment needs to be viewed as a possible operative serving the interests of the Chinese communist regime An out-sized reaction for an innocuous semtiment. Proof of change, right there. The kettle is beginning to boil.
Lmao please. Part my reason for creating this thread was to discuss the threats this virus poses to our freedoms and what we can to to preserve as much as possible. Again, I cite 9/11 as an example of a major global event that changed the way we live whether we liked it or not.

Still haven't got my trump bucks

>an innocuous sentiment That sentiment has already put more people out of work than the Great Depression did, user. There are millions of people right now in this country facing the threat of homelessness and hunger because the media and media-adjacent personalities have been permitted to spread a false narrative of disaster.
That "innocuous sentiment" has caused more harm to the people than any foe in US history.

If it's a ruse and they took it laying, what does that say about them? Maybe they got the masinsteam media they deserved, the leadership they deserved, for being so negligent.
Pic related is a map of DC's current cases where I live (not staying there currently). The worst impacted areas are occupied mostly by african americans in higher density housing.
We are already seeing it in our news media. As soon as Trump put the axe on the WHO our media tried to defend them >lol yeah the WHO fucked up but what was Drumpf doing in January? The WHO LIED to save Chinas ass and our gutless pussy pundits are defending them. Unbelievable
Cooper Ortiz
>Post-Covid World at the very minimum, that's 10 years away.
When do you think the essential workers will take a knee and demand compensation? I know that my coworkers and I are sick of working harder then ever while the unemployed are making $800 weekly to play video games. When will lawyers get involved and start a giant class action lawsuit? Will Congress get the essentials some type of bonuses or compensation, maybe pass a law saying we deserve hazard pay. Because right now all we're getting is no overtime, working harder because all temps were let go and insurance that we can't use. This is not going to end well if we are the only people paying taxes right now.

What sort of crystal ball did the WHO have to detect Chinese lies? Zion Don was sucking Xi's cock long after the truth came out.

In the process of closing a deal on a condo in the Denver area before the credit crunch/boomers start retiring. Anyone think this will do anything else but raise housing prices long term? If we are all working remote then I'm a gonner. But I dont think management will ever be ready for that kind of change. Young guys will start realizing they can work out of 3rd world countries and live like Kings.
Nolan Adams
That have gotten it... And recovered except the the extremely old that most likely died due to old age and not covid.
John Bennett
IDGAF about all that. They're going to take away my NEETbux and make me go back wage cucking in that fucknig restaurant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Besides the obvious things like more surveillance and data collection etc, I really can't see this changing society very much. Am I just a brainlet with too much optimism?
