Well not every nation is made for western type of democracy. My only problem with PiS is that they are not hiring people based on how good someone is, but if he is part of "our dudes". Everything they do has to be done through a company and people that are linked to them. If they need to hire cleaning ladies for buses, then the cleaning ladies have to come form a company linked to someone in PiS. that would be a problem in a rich and powerful country, in a poor one, that has to react fast, it makes the whole country very inefficient.
They also kick out of jobs people that are not linked to PiS. In places like courts, police/army, Foregin office etc I get it, makes 100% sense.
But why do they have to kick out of jobs specialists in breeding arab horses or hunting, when they have no people of their own who know anything about it, is way beyond my undertsanding. They destroyed enterprises that were making money and were useful to the state, just because they weren't linked to PiS.
Plus the leader is a gay dude, who never married, never had kids, didn't have a bank account till his late 60s, and has worked in a normal work place for 7 months in his entire life.

I would love to have a southern korea in Poland, even with the corruption and the dictators they had, as long as the country ends up developed well and strong. The goverment has to be efficient and more stuff then just keeping power. Specialy in countries that don't sleep on oil, precious ores etc. Poland does not have money to print like the US, nor does it have resources to support it like SA or Russia. If majority of the people in the country are suppose to have it good, EVEN if we were to have an eternal PiS dictatorship here, then the country has to be run better. We can't wait for 6 years in hope that maybe someone in his 20s is going to have a genius idea or that a 40 year old who is friends with X, is finaly going to get a licens to build electric cars, and we start dominating the markets.
Look at South Korea in the 70-90s. It was corrupt as hell, but it was developing ultra fast. And it still does, and in the 50s they were worse off then Poland after WWII.
