Korean researchers have been researching the "reactivations" and found they cannot find any live virus, only dead rna, the test still hits positive

Dutch researchers have started an experiment with a particular blood pressure medication (valsartan) that in theory would prevent lung fluid from building up, the most dangerous of coronas symptoms.

It's not like we are talking about significant numbers.

> of the 7,829 people who have recovered from coronavirus there, 2.1% retested positive, the KCDC said Friday. It is not clear how many of the people who have recovered have been tested again.

> KCDC deputy director Kwon Joon-wook said that so far, there's no indication that patients who retest positive are contagious, even though about 44% of them showed mild symptoms.

> According to Kwon, these tests may still be picking up parts of the RNA even after the person has recovered because the tests are so sensitive.
"That's one possible and very strong explanation," he said.
The same theory was posited by one of China's top respiratory experts, Zhong Nanshan. In a press conference earlier this week, he said that a recovered person can test positive because fragments of the disease remained in their body.
"I'm not too worried about this issue," he added.

> Kwon says there is no evidence so far of a person who has retested positive being infectious, adding: "At the moment, we think that there is no danger of further secondary or tertiary transmission."

That's.acutally.real.

strains are just changes in the RNA makeup which is very large. almost all of those changes are insignificant to how the virus functions. a mutation is a significant change to the function. there can be 50 billion strains but if none of them actually change how the virus attacks your body/your body deals with it, then it's irrelevant.

Its what youtubers have been saying to avoid unwarrented takedowns by 1984tube.

It's a 9/10 rollercoaster until the end

how does that make sense and where did you see that mentioned? youre saying that people with low ace2 never get the disease bad enough to need antibodies so theyll always keep getting reinfected and never feeling bad, but people with high ace2 get it bad so they develop antibodies? and youre saying that because of that low ace2 people will effectively infect almost everyone with high ace2?

You don't have to trust Chinese numbers to acknowledge that crushing the curve is superior to flattening the curve.

>For now, the most likely explanation of why people are retesting positive seems to be that the test is picking up remnants of the virus.
>The KCDC has re-investigated three cases from the same family where patients tested positive after recovering, Kwon says.

>In each of these cases, scientists tried to incubate the virus but weren't able to -- that told them there was no live virus present.

>Like many countries, South Korea uses a reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) to test for the virus. The RT-PCR test works by finding evidence of a virus's genetic information -- or RNA -- in a sample taken from the patient.
>According to Kwon, these tests may still be picking up parts of the RNA even after the person has recovered because the tests are so sensitive.
>"That's one possible and very strong explanation," he said.

lets say that corona currently has 3000 strains
what happened is that corona version 1 got copied over and over again, however with each copy there are chances for slight changes.

Up till now there have been three diverging strains spreading over the globe, but even these three are so similar that a vaccine could target all three.

The rest of the strains that came from these three all have such minor mutations that there functionally is no difference.

>Human body activity associated with a task provided to a user may be used in a mining process of a cryptocurrency system.
You know how when you're jogging you're making your own metabolism work? Now apply this concept PLUS whenever it starts working (metabolism) you somehow are giving computing power to do something in an unspecified cryptocurrenty network.

Something you have to keep in mind about patents. Just the fact that there is a patent on something doesn't mean that there's a physical implementation of it (or prototype). I don't know the WIPO rules about that, but I'm very certain that in the US that's how it works. In fact, patents, as they are right now in the US, are a nightmare. You can patent "everything" even if there's not a physical implementation of it.

In the EU the rules are very different. You NEED a physical implementation (prototype) to patent that idea. There are, of course, some exceptions as well. You can't patent mathematical formulas, etc. but in the US you can.

As a side note: This is why progress is super slow and only happens between decades (that's when patents expire, btw). Unless, a certain investor is willing to put money on that idea and pay the "inventor" to implement that idea.

Of all the shit Trumps done with appointing friends and family, Linda was probably one of his most reasonable appointments when she was the head of the small business commission, take away that it's wrestling and realize they she was the driving force behind turning her husbands struggling carnie business into a international multi-billion dollar a year entertainment company. Probably should have brought her back in instead of Vince, but he's no slacker when it comes to making shekels so I guess he's better than a lot of people Trump could have picked.

So then why do they show symptoms?

It's logistically impossible if China couldn't.

Okay, what about symptoms then?

There are synonymous and nonsynonymous mutations. Only nonsynonymous mutations change viral infection and reproduction and could be termed a new strain.

it's the coonrona

Attached: 1587026946537.jpg (1272x1094, 568.07K)

No idea user. The data on what the mutations are specifically when dealing with coronavirus might be out there but I dont know how to find it. I would think it would explain why we have such a vast array of symptoms though with the way it presents basically rolling a ton of dice. Like I said, I'm struggling to wrap my hands around it but thats what I understand in my complete laymans perspective. To put things in perspective you need to be vaccinated for new flu strains once a year and we have 8 new strains of this new virus since this all began.
