Pretty much this, it's because a lot of governments want to retain all the new totalitarian powers that they were granted during the pandemic. So by saying this is the new normal it legitimises this current state of affairs. It's been pushed for 2 months actually. My highest level bosses who visit Washington (government facility) kept saying this during the discussions for the working at home plans.
And you know what? These thoughts are a type of subversive and subconscious programming that is literally the manifestation of our psychopathic/sociopathic leaders will. Deep down everyone knows it, but the ones pushing for it do not see the peril it has put us in.
