It’s a hard show and if you like philosophy and good writing and good animation give it a watch. It’s my guilty pleasure. I am certifiably based in all other aspects of my life but I really like this show.

AT was alright for the first few seasons but when it hits you over the head with how "deep and serious" it is in later seasons it becomes overly preachy.
there are select episodes i like but the whole last half of the show feels too mature for the backdrop it already established.

eh, i enjoyed it. it's not based at all though, it's pretty kiked actually. watched a couple of episodes to see if it was okay for my kids, wound up watching it all. still won't let the kids watch it yet though, it's got too much kikery

Eh it had it’s moments. It is one of the few western animations worth watching. Not that I’m advocating for anime since a lot of that is trash also. I would mark GF as “acceptable” viewing but not “essential” viewing like LotGH.

Blame Cartoon Network for limiting the show to 10 episodes. I'm sure if the show had had 15-20 episodes parts like the one about Lorna and aunt Whispers or everything near the end wouldn't feel so rushed. This problem with the number of episodes affects other miniseries too (like Infinity Train).
