>all of humanity is descended from 2 people >an old man and his kids managed to get two of every animal onto a giant wooden boat >different languages came from god punishing people for building a big tower >ramdom dude gets superpowers by never cutting his hair
And that's just the first bits of the Old Testament. Christians of Yas Forums, how the actual fuck do you believe this shit? Not even bait, I genuinely want to know how you reconcile basic logic with these nonsense stories.
>Adam lived eight hundred years after he begot Seth, and he had other sons and daughters. The whole lifetime of Adam was nine hundred and thirty years
Angel Watson
>an old man and his kids managed to get two of every animal onto a giant wooden boat God did that. The old man built the boat though.
Lincoln Rivera
wouldn't that make all sex self-incest?
Jason Diaz
a boat whose dimensions, as described in the book, are not enough to house all those animals.
Aaron Collins
>On the next day, the firstborn said to the younger, “Look, I lay last night with my father; let us make him drink wine tonight also; then you go in and lie with him, so that we may preserve offspring through our father.” So they made their father drink wine that night also; and the younger rose, and lay with him; and he did not know when she lay down or when she rose. Thus both the daughters of Lot became pregnant by their father.
>God likely “tolerated” Abraham’s marriage to his half-sister because it was not the grave offense it would have been if he could read the law of Moses (Rom. 5:13).
Lincoln Cook
>all of humanity is descended from 2 people Science has the same concept. >an old man and his kids managed to get two of every animal onto a giant wooden boat He also spoke the universe into existence. >different languages came from god punishing people for building a big tower God forbid a single language and culture, why is that wrong? >Samson His strength was by grace through his faith in God. Read the new testament.
25For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.
Because God did foolish things which sound unbelievable to majority of people, thus using his sovereignity to make you not believe in him.
Kayden Allen
he didn't not mutilated his genitals during this holocaust.
This holocaust was a test from God.
Samuel Cruz
It’s a metaphor for something deeper in many ways like it always has been. Milk for babes, strong meat for men and all that. Only the idiot multitudes would ever consider interpreting it literally to begin with.
Benjamin Martinez
Wait till you get to the part with the talking donkey
Jacob Cruz
Science does NOT have that same concept whatsoever.
He spoke the universe into existence, great, then why did he need the boat at all? Why not just recreate everything after the flood?
There's nothing "wrong" with it, but historically speaking that is absolutely not how different languages and culture came about.
Except he lost the power when his hair was cut. Why make this contingent on such a random thing as hair? That's completely nonsensical.
Lincoln Howard
If the book is meant to be metaphorical, does that extend to Christ's miracles and the Resurrection? Those stories are also unbeleivable yet Christians treat them as fact.
Luis Brown
Because it's what God said and it's all plausible
>>all of humanity is descended from 2 people If you believe in evolietion then you believe all of life came from one organism, you retard
>>an old man and his kids managed to get two of every animal onto a giant wooden boat They had 120 years, the animals all came to them, and they could all fit on the boat if you bring baby animals
>>different languages came from god punishing people for building a big tower That's because God didn;t want everyone staying together you globalist kike
>>ramdom dude gets superpowers by never cutting his hair One of the judges isnt a 'random dude'. And it's because he was destined to be a nazarite from birth
>an old man and his kids managed to get two of every animal onto a giant wooden boat Common misconception. One pair of every unclean, 7 pair of every clean which he immediately sacrificed most of. A theory I've heard and I like is it wasn't a rib it was the penis bone. It makes the myth significantly better. It adds a sexual element to the craetion of the female, it becomes an explaining something myth.
Zachary Lewis
one organism evolving over millions of years into various species is quite different from all of one species descending from a single mother. Learn how evolution works.
You can give him all the time he needs, that boat is not going to fit 2 of every creature even if they are babies. You need food for them all, for forty days. Not to mention some kind of internal system to pump water to them, which the book does not describe.
Josiah Phillips
It says rib, and your lower rib is the only bone to grow back if removed, so it'd make sense
Justin Thomas
Supernatual is one thing. Things that make no sense in any context, even supernatural, are another. Why, for example, would god do this weird thing of saving animals on a boat when he can just recreate them after the flood with a snap of his fingers? The whole effort is fucking pointless.
Anthony Nguyen
"Hell" is translated from the different words, gehenna, tartarus, hades.
Eternal, eternaly, forever and ever are the words which leads one to believe in the eternal torment doctrine. These words are mistranslated. The correct term is EON, meaning a period of time.
Gehenna, tartarus and hades have their own different meaning and context, none of which is burning suffering, and it's not eternal at all.
God is the saviour of all humanity and has a plan for WHEN(IE people will be brought back to life at different EONS, the timetable is: 1000yr kingdom, new heaven and earth and after that the consumation where God will be in all in all) he will ressurect all of humanity. 1 tim 4:10 Therefore we labour and strife because we have put our hopes in the living God, who is the saviour of all humanity, especially believers
Jeremiah Price
That is even less genetic diversity, which makes the survivability of these species in the long term even less likely
Chase Turner
God of Abraham, ten generations removed from Noah, father of Shem (Semites), Japheth (Indo-Europeans), and Ham (Blacks & Asains). Noah son of Lamech who lived to 777 and was alive at Adam's death the first conscious man.
Colton Robinson
>Science don't have the same concept en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitochondrial_Eve en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Y-chromosomal_Adam >The boat He judged the world. How else to kill all the humans and not animal? >Language People coming together results in a common language, you see this today with English. We're due. >Samson Every you gift you have is by God's grace, is it not also contingent on random things you have?
Jaxson Clark
And you're still saying everything came from organism. That would be more crazy than only man coming from 2 people.
Yes, it could. The average size of an animal is smaller than a sheepand there is about 6000 differrent kinds of animals. They could all fit on the bottom of the boat and food in the middle, and it was likely all fresh water at the time
Lincoln Bailey
>Not even bait, I genuinely want to know how you reconcile basic logic with these nonsense stories. In short, everything you described only happened because of the power of God and not of the people themselves. If you need another way to explain it, imagine a character in RPG game being empowered for being a follower of a deity.
Christian Wilson
Because he then didn't want to kill everyone you retard
Josiah Hall
Because the seventh day rest never ended. Creation was a one time event.
You're really just making a judgment as to how he ought to have sustained life while eliminating all humanity but the one family, not pointing out a logical problem with it ("things that make no sense")
Ryder Lopez
That’s not real obviously, it’s just jewish fables.
Jaxson Cruz
Obviously, the boat had a stargate on it.
Landon Morales
>Christians of Yas Forums, how the actual fuck do you believe this shit? Not even bait, I genuinely want to know how you reconcile basic logic with these nonsense stories. It's Summerian myths. Ever read Greek myths ? They have TWO deluges , not one . Read the NT.
Thomas Sanchez
>The whole effort is fucking pointless. More likely a test for Noah than anything else.
Jackson Evans
The links you cited, you'll note, are not two loteral humans. That's the part that is not possible. This isn't hard.
How else to kill just humans? He's omnipotent, he could just think it and, bam, all humans dead.
I'm not sure what this language point is? My point was that language variation does not at all line up with the Babel story.
God specifically tied the powers to the hair. Why? What is the point of this? It's so random you'd think it was just god fucking around because he was bored.
Brody Ward
The Bible is inerrant, inspired, and infallible. There are many areas like psalms and Lamentations intended as prose and symbolic. many parables, but context is important.
Look up the dimensions of the boat, they even built one here in Kentucky. Even small animals, they would not fit with the food and everything. 40 days of food for that many animals? It doesn't remotely work. They would also need some kind of water pumping system, they can't just poke their head out a damn window and drink from outside.
Wyatt Smith
Happy Easter user, Christ is risen!
Ian Bennett
If you even knew what you where talking about. There is more then 2 pairs a piece. Some animals had 7 pairs. Also, I'm currently readinf the old testament and I find numerous examples that lead me to that the god in Exodus is actually the devil. Here is some I have written, it's alot of symbolism.

God changed Jacob, Moses's great grandfather's name to Israel because Jacob sounds like the Hebrew word for deceiver..it literally says that.. Exodus has so much, the staff Moses had that turns into a serpent.. serpent in genesis was the devil, God first appeared to moses as a burning bush.. fire and brimstone. Hell.. during the plagues God send the Pharaoh.. after the 5th one Pharaoh did give in to let them leave but then it says.. but the Lord hardened his heart and now refuses . After the rest of every plague the Pharaoh gives in but it says the Lord hardened his heart . It culminates to every first born dying.. child sacrifice.. it's literally called " Passover sacrifice.. then chapter 13 verse 9.. this annual festival will be a visible sign to you LIKE A MARK BRANDED ON YOUR HAND OR YOUR FOREHEAD
That's my opinion anyways
Mason Smith
But...he did kill everyone, save one dude and his family? Also, he doesn't want to kill the animals, fine. He's god, he can teleport them all to 41 days into the future when the flood is gone. Easy.
Dylan Gonzalez
never thought id see a brother who posts martin zender on youtube
Jaxon Garcia
There is a logical problem with the logistics of the boat, the lack of genetic diversity in the animals and Noah's family, and the physical impossibility of a flooding of the entire earth, especially in the time frame given.
Isaiah Perez

Oliver Jones
So what in the book is fable and what is not? Is Jesus also a fable?
Levi Smith
Also when God gave Moses the 10 commandments he come down the mountain with fog and fire
So why are these myths included? How do we distinguish them from the parts God wants us to treat as fact?
Matthew Powell
I think in english it's named as The Book of Enoch, it pretty much explains that humanity was corrupted by fallen angels and their teaching which is why the flood was needed to wipe them out as a punishment.
Brandon Jenkins
>muh CHRISTIANS Why are jews never asked about the stories of the Old Testament?
Josiah Howard
Had Noah not already been judged worthy? If he failed his test, then what, humanity just dies?
Thomas Long
>logistics of the boat Fewer ancient species
>lack of genetic diversity in the animals and Noah's family, and the physical impossibility of a flooding of the entire earth, Presupposing naturalism again
Dominic Edwards
No, new testament isn't a fable. The old testament is Jewish original history of bullshit. And there connection with the devil aka god of the old testament
Luke Robinson
Doesn't everything being parable and metaphor make the work massively open to interpretation? This is directly responsible for the fragmenting of the religion we've seen over the last few thousand years. Why would god allow a scripture that is so vague as to sow such division?
Brandon Rogers
Probably, but if I had to say it was pretty much his destiny to not fail. Otherwise God would not have bothered choosing him if he was weak willed for that mission and, I guess would have just wiped everything out.
Parker Cox
I think rabbi yeshua was real, but just a man, that got killed for going around claiming he was moshiach.
Cameron Diaz
How can you say pauls letters being everything parable and metaphors?
