Neo-Paganism

Is this new trend of widespread neo-paganism just a case of "hah! we're rejecting the Semite religion in favour of our own"? Surely these people don't believe that Odin as ACTUALLY real, right? It's more of a cultural/white-nationalist phenomenon rather than a religious one?

Why would the gods not be real?

Why are all pagan fringe ideologies base themselves on the foundation of Nordic society and unity (excluding Sweden for obvious reasons)?

Why do many Americans seem so pursuant of this completely idealistic belief that Norse primitivism (thuleanism even) is the 'perfect' model?

>The ordinary man simply believes that it is blessed because of its power, attributes and transcendent being. The man of half-baked wisdom, wondering how anybody could have such power, attributes and transcendent being, calls it a lie and gives in to slander. But if now one understands a little better, he will have a respectful belief based on principle and will not need the simple faith of the ordinary man or the slander of the other, and he will understand that gods, with these things, manifests the Principle well.

This goes beyond my belief. Odin is real. He has been awakened again. He possesses me and moves me and i am compelled to obey him.

War is his desire.

pagans now are the atheists of 2012 who turned into right wing ethnonationalists who just dont believe in god but like art from the renaissance and middle ages.

If someone told you Jesus spoke to them would you call them a schizo?

yes

Did I ask you?

yes you did schizo

Yes.

>turned into right wing ethnonationalists who just dont believe in god
Makes sense because YHWH does not allow you to be both. Unless you're Jewish ofc

not true. tower of babel. all the instances of god btfoing tribes so israel could take their land. god is very much pro racial and tribal segregation

There are more forms of paganism than Nazi LARPing.

Believing in Zeus is just as bad as believing in Odin, imo. At least Christians have the excuse that believing in their god is culturally reinforced and they were likely raised to do so.

>paganism is for the strong
>gets btfo'd Christianity

To answer seriously, there is no honest group of theistic pagans at any significant number. It is exclusively a cultural practice, and just edginess in the worst cases.

semite religion has been fading away for some time, look even in the 90's the jewlovers would manage to block a rock concert or two now and then, they would never get away with it now. people are reasonably free of religion now, yes there will be a resettling, people will go wild for a while but will then calm down and go back to logic. we just need to survive it without external or internal corruption.
European people are not meant to blindly follow a mass religion, they are more based on local and family tradition, people will go along with even a self proclaimed leader for a while until they don't and cant really be forced. in the end it gets rejected.
these pagan gods are hero's in a story, they are for inspiring children (ie: little johny dont you want to be big and strong like thor...then eat ya fooking sausages) you get the point.
it seems as though people could become "godlike" by being something great, achieving a great goal and that is how it should be, people should be inspired by great acts and want to achieve something similar themselves.

I wish there was to know about my magyar ancestors and their horse horse nigger ways. Anyone got anything?

Cherrypicking i can cherrypick thousands of sluts who does porno with christian cross on neck

probably because there is still some left and it has not been completely commercialized into oblivion (yet) .
take for example the commercialization of Celtic religion, there are still entire shops devoted to selling plastic chinese shit with a Triskelion on it.

as for primitivism i think it is an ideal people deep down desire, they want to be free of overbearing leaders, pointless bureaucracy, and dogmatic religions.
in reality in the modern age we need to "go back" hypothetically and rebuild a modern society based off our roots instead of the foreign abrahamic rubbish.

Yes, God is very pro racial and tribal segregation if you're Jewish.

Also what he did after the tower of babel was a fucking punishment. Not exactly a pro nationalist story.

i will call you a christian shill larping as a pagan
and i would be correct.

notice how i changed to a "meme" flag to show disrespect to your shit tier bait post.

>believe that Odin as ACTUALLY real, right?
Many of what man thinks of as "gods" or progenitors of a religion are humans that existed at one time that then became folklore or slices of a history we've forgotten just like the millions of languages we've possessed and lost.
Odin was likely no different.
He made the written language of the runes or Futharks, hanging off a tree staring at a lake at night, the runes being constellations when viewed in a mirror. Honored knowledge, and was very likely to be one of the first to arrive in Norway with the original parties that tried to make it a thing.
Also to iterate across what you're all trying to poke at, none of this was ever a religion until western media rediscovered it.
Norway it's still quite strong and known about, a different story, somewhat close to how it was.
Worshiping elves might have been a religion that was around at the time

yes retard, he punished them for having all the families and tribes in one city, so he confounded the languages and spread them out. do you even know what the tower of babel is?

and yet here we are in 2020 churches are closing down, less and less numbers.
you lost the long game.

Why not? We should be doing all we can to rid ourselves of the Jewish yoke.

I don't personally believe actual gods exist in the way Christdumfucks believe Jebus exists, but I believe in the gods metaphorically.

a god is just a physical representation and metaphor for a collective group. to have stable collective thought and vision requires similarity in genes between members of the group, because collective though is in fact an emergent property of gene expression. Semites can have their god, who gives a shit, but when they say there can only be one god for the entire world it implies there can only be one pattern of collective thought, and by extension only one set of genes able to express themselves through collective action. This is the core of hatred towards Semite aka anti-semitism.

>Surely these people don't believe that Odin as ACTUALLY real, right?
I don't think it's substantially different from those Christians you'll see on here going
>Nuh uh, Catholicism is based, crusaders and everyone at my Latin Mass is trad as fuck
It's the cynical use of a form of spirituality as the root of a new community. The point is to have a community and a narrative that binds you together. What that narrative is...well, who cares, so long as it's based?

The problem with both is that it doesn't cost you anything. Anons go through like the spirit is a buffet and they just need the right combo of menu options with pleasing material benefits to call the "one true religion," even if they don't buy the central premise of the religion at all. That's the form of the debates you see here. You can go be "trad" at your Latin mass if you want, but you'll probably just follow through with your modern neoliberal existence the rest of the time. For you the point is the material experience, not the beliefs themselves. Anything so cheap will never hold together.

A new spirituality would need to have some kind of deep, transformative cost. I don't think paganism by itself meets that criteria, even if rebuilding a bridge to that deep past is worthwhile. The new path forward would need to be believed as the truth, not as a convenience.
