so much pressure to conform and be accepted in society. When you're a white man it's hard enough. After highschool it's just worse, eventually you'll graduate college and have a handful of kind of friends who you see every so often but you'll be shunned at work because you are smarter than the rest or don't conform to their rigid social standards.

Seriously, it's a thing in the workforce. People see you as competition or as a pariah because of your intelligence. There are only a few fields you should bother going into in the 21st century if you are smart and want to not be hated at work for it.
