I'm assuming you're a migrant in Canada so I won't call you Canadian.
But let's pretend we're both Australian.
You: Australian no.1 say Australia is for everyone, that anyone can come here and become "Australian" = civic-nationalism (just another variant of nationalism).
Me: Australian no.2 says Australia is for Europeans only, and predominantly north-west Europeans. That's it. = Nationalism, it's racially based, but it's still nationalism (and in reality nationalism itself is easily subverted).
Now look at the reality of Islamic "culture". It's practically pan-Arabic culture, pan-Arabism. The word Arab means "to grow darker" or some other cultures translate "Arab" into "mongrel, or mutt".
