If you did not get a tax refund in 2018 or 2019, or did receive a tax refund but chose to not receive it as direct deposited, they did not have your bank info for direct deposit on the 15th. They will mail checks later in April for anyone who does not go to the IRS website and verify their bank info for direct deposit. If you choose to update your info with the IRS, you will need specific line info from either your 2018 or 2019 return to verify your identity, and they will ask you for those specific line values while you set up your direct deposite.
