It more or less explains exactly what is happening. The world is run by a global cabal and a young depressed loner is going to be the deciding factor in the fate of the world. Only difference is we are getting the good ending not the bad ending.
Because Eva is one of the most beautiful art pieces ever made and degenerates despise anything beautiful. It challenges the viewer to get their shit together, be life-affirming and to embrace humanity, which all the aforementioned groups have essentially rejected. Seeing such a stark contrast between true life and beauty versus their own miserable lives makes them react with resentment. It's the same reaction a fat woman has to a supermodel.
