To sum it up, after the german empire guaranteed poles an independant state in 1917, in 1919 or 1920 (not sure rn), votes were taken. Unsurprisingly, the majority population in developed areas wanted to stay as part of germany, which polish nationalists were unhappy with. So they invaded, massacring german civilians and polish collaborateurs. The german government couldn't do anything because of the versailles treaty, so it fell to german militias to repulse the invasions, which they did. Then the brits intervened, stopped the german advance and forced the german government to cede all territory the poles still held.
This exact order of events repeated three times until 1924.
Unsurprisingly, this is hardly ever talked about, as it shows not only the incompetence of the social democrat government back then (and thus explains why germans trusted socialists and nationalists more), but it also calls the "german false flag started ww2" narrative into doubt - and if you've got first doubts and do research, such as reading the nuremberg protocols, it quickly becomes obvious that there is no real proof of a german false flag.
