Do you have a backyard? What can we do with it? I went to the feed store and looked at goats today but they are expensive. What about the "short pork?"
Micro Farming: how does your garden grow?
Australian Limes or Bust.
Does it taste like a "normal lime?"
My Hannah sweet potatoes are growing like crazy. So is the garlic. Really jazzed about our avocado Crop that will come this summer. Wish I knew what pesticide to use because these little isopod guys get into them real bad.
Nooooo!!! Not little squeeky!!!
There's different species of them. Desert Limes for instance have a more powerful taste of Lime.
chockens and ldybugs
But they are so easy to farm!
Any downside to the ladybugs? Do I risk having them go after the fruit if they run out of aphids and crap to eat?
>Any downside to the ladybugs?
Yeah they could all just fly away.
That sounds low risk. Ok I’ll try it. Thanks man.
FUCKING SUBHUMAN MONGREL SCUM!!!
I seem to having some difficulty locating your argument.
>Exotic meats
Guinea pig unironically tastes good. It's like pork
Is it dark meat?
Butchering small animals is time consuming for what you get, chickens are great because they eat your table scraps and give you balls of protein/fat/minerals. Better to grow veggies and find a local farmer who will let you buy a share of a cow or sheep.
>find a local farmer
I live in the city though.
Prepare for the worst, hope for the best. Pic related, garden under construction.
Is that just fabric on the bottom of your boxes?
It's a weed mesh that lets water thru. Very cheap at the garden store.
I want to try out off grid hydroponic fodder but I don't have the money for it. It'd be nice to have a cow again but they'd need too much feed where I'm at now.
I saw this here earlier.
Did you have just one? Beef or dairy? It's on my list, can only fence off 1 acre for 1 or 2 this fall.
Lmao 25000 gallons of water
Could just have fewer fishies.
Shaded out second row.
Yeah that's what I was going to say...
Neat idea but that has to be like a 300 ft long run
Family used to own two or three unbranded Herefords at a time because they were basically free money but for shoveling a little shit. I couldn't do it on my land there's just not enough for them to graze on.
Can cows eat hemp? If so couldn't you lower the amount of land needed by growing/feeding them hemp?
Neem oil. Pesticide will harm.
Neem oil, or you can make a dish soap and water mixture and spray it on leaves. It works. Remember to companion plants next season.
t. organic gardening/hydroponic faggot
Fuck why is this so cute even though I understand it's implications
IF U WERE A GUINEAPIG EATIN FUD
WHAT KINDA FUD WUD U B EATIN?
My carrots are growing slowly but surely. It's 6 weeks in and 5 more to go.
30 are growing, but I'm looking at increasing the plot size to ~400 if the coronavirus doesn't let up
they can't get over a 3 brick high wall?
lmao, guinea pigs
Bro you need to be getting grow bags instead. Weed block sucks. You seem handy with tools, i encourage you to explore aquaponic options.
What do they need so many guinea pigs for?
holy oldfag
>they can't get over a 3 brick high wall?
They probably couldn't get on a 8" cinder block.
For I can eat it.
I have a 10 year old finger lime going in the back yard. Finally 3 years ago it started giving fruit.
I'm not worried about feed, I have a couple beef farms near me and a dairy operation close by so it's easy to get here.
It's a big step though and not too many people do just a couple, I worry if it's worth the risk but it's good to hear when others have had success.
