What's hilarious is that a vaccine, if one was ever developed, which is unlikely, would be completely useless after a year. The strain would mutate like the flu does, hence annual flu jabs, which would necessitate another vaccine.
They've also been unable to develop a vaccine for SARS - appeared in 2002, and they've been trying up until today. They're also been unable to develop a vaccine for MERS - appeared in 2012.

Why bother. It's already everywhere because of government incompetance. It would be like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted.
Carson Morales
why do we even fucking bother then? what's the point of all us being on lockdown? it's so fucked
How do people remember these kinds of jokes from The Simpsons? It's very impressive, I must say. Genuinely can't remember more than 5 jokes / quotations from that show.

Some cunt near me set a firework off for RNHS. fucking spastics clapping, one of the bastards was beeping his horn. I'm outraged.

there is no point. the government dont have a clue. you're being ruled over by senile demented old retards and weird fat women.

Moorcock's Stealer of Souls >elric >back to /tg/ I go.

>SARS is symptoms, severe acute respiratory syndrome it's a collection of symptoms, not the cause just like MERS
interestingly this news website has this on the banner at the top.
>Coronavirus causes COVID-19, a highly contagious disease that is spreading fast is corona the HIV to COVIDs AIDS?
Hudson King
how come the same virus/measles vaccine is working after 100 years of mutations but flu doesn't, does the literal crown/corona make it more likely we will not face the same things we did with flu?
Dominic Rodriguez
he may be a bit of a wanker but he does make a good point from time to time

>Hello, my name is Mr Burns, I believe you have a letter for me. >Ok Mr Burns, and what's your first name? >...I don't know.
I used to post this a lot, you aren't Paul are ya?

Brit/pol/ is so spiteful, petty minded and mean spirited they literally cannot tolerate nurses and doctors being thanked by the public for 5 minutes once every Thursday.
>Confessions of a Mask Great book, though I was surprised at the bit when he ejaculated while thinking of his classmate's armpits. You will enjoy Anna Karenina, it is the single greatest work of fiction in the Western canon.
Xavier Hill
Did he stay up listening to Queen?

a little history of the world by gombrich. i'm a slow reader, only read a 1-3 chapters a night. just got up to the romans

Haven't read Confession of a Mask, only The Sailor Who Fell From Grace with the Sea (which I didn't take the time to properly understand). Is it a good read?
Luis Sanders
From what I've read measles doesn't mutate, whereas the flu does. It's the same with the common cold, there's an absurd amount of different types of cold.
Michael Thompson
Call them mutts, or have a go at them for their lack of foreskin

>7.55pm and they make an announcement that they'll clap in 5 mins >8pm announcement to start clapping >everyone stops and claps like seals immediately, literally everyone >don't stop clapping until they announcement comes on to stop
It was surreal as fuck, like from a movie. It was as if people weren't thinking and were brainwashed simply following orders.
They literally stopped walking immediately and stood to attention and clapped - the sound was deafening.
This is what our population consists of. Not sure I can go on lads.
It's the Cathars, fascinating stuff, Bronze Age Pervert did a podcast recently linking them to the modern Saturnalian/Moloch cult. Not sure about all that, but the destruction of the Cathars is a very interesting episode.
Of all the fucking people, its pakis and romanians.

Wow, it was written when the author was only 26 years old. Is it historically accurate, considering the advances in science, archaeology etc since 1935 which have allowed for a better understanding of human history?
Bentley Flores
Runaway Horses is the most accessible Mishima book for a right-wing reader
Dylan Foster
yeah jsut saw that >The surface proteins that the measles virus uses to enter cells are ineffective if they suffer any mutation, meaning that any changes to the virus come at a major cost.
also ironically >THE coronavirus pandemic could lead to mass outbreaks of the measles as global vaccination programmes are put on hold during the current crisis. playing the long long game
SARS-CoV-2 mutates at a faster rate than any known virus in history. it has ADE, so you'll die to an enhanced reinfection as soon as you encounter another strain after "recovery". there are roughly 4000 strains already.
NHS employee here, I find it creepy as fuck. They do pay us, you know.

If you saw Atlas, the giant who holds the world on his shoulders, if you saw that he stood, blood running down his chest, his knees buckling, his arms trembling but still trying to hold the world aloft with the last of his strength, and the greater his effort the heavier the world bore down upon his shoulders - What would you tell him?
>the giant who holds the world on his shoulders *sky

Never heard of it. Always thought the network meme was a bit misplaced anyway. Everybody who uses it make the lumet character out to be a revolutionary guru or something, but he's actually a sad, lonely person going through a middle aged identity crisis who gets swallowed, manipulated and then spat out by corporate greed artists. Hardly a messiah to follow, if you catch my drift.
Chase Foster
Put ya back into it mate

Brayden Myers
wow, didn't know that. he translated it himself into english in the late 90's i believe, so it's relatively up to date. i'm really enjoying it, very cosy vibe to it. like being read to by your grandad in front of the fireplace.

My bad. Thank god for autists. Just remembered it being a lumet film and had a brain fart while typing.

It's really delicious watching the UK government trying to foster a sense of community after deliberately destroying that very thing for the last 75 years.
