EMS: >Minimum wage for EMTs >$5 over minimum wage for Paramedics >Associates degree in many US states >Bachelors in many other countries >Constant license renewal every 3 years, fail? Bye bye license. Time to collect foodstamps >Unstable setting, subway, cramped apartment, shit infested hoarder apartments, mcdonalds bathroom with heroin overdoses, police jail cell where jailed person takes a swing at you >No lunch breaks, eat on the job as fast as you can before another call >Healthcare benefits are not on-par with hospital personnel benefits >Lots of heavy work, carrying people around, picking up over-doses people almost breaking your back while you move them from the street as on-lookers record you >Respond to a hanging of an 18 year old kid, having to tell the parents there is nothing you can do for them, now being stuck with the image of an 18 year old kid hanging there in his closet as his mom is home sobbing >Working cardaic arrests with only you and your partner because theres no additional help around at times, having to pronounce because you're exhausted and cant go on waiting for resources
They just drive the ambulance user! They don't need to make a decent living! They should go back to school and get a real job.
Nursing: >$80k year starting in most places >Paid lunch breaks >Paid family leave >Best health insurance a man could ask for in a capitalist country >Stable clean hospital environment with doctors to fall back on >Recognized by public as super human >Never have to renew license, can get old and forget everything about nursing but still be allowed to step into an ER room as a non-patient >Worst part of the day is being told to have take lunch break after shift, still getting paid for it >Cardiac arrests with entire droves of people, hardest part is starting an iv line (soo hard because dead people dont move)
Have you been around nurses? They are the most jaded, depressed people around. It pays somewhat well but the job sucks. It sucks the life right out of them.
Christian Torres
Westerners are truly pathetic. Can you imagine nurses doing this in China back in February?
Jose Turner
In what way are you qualified to give redpills?
Nathan Smith
or just quit
t.former ems
Leo Gutierrez
>Have you been around nurses? yes. the women were all totally vapid whores. the few guys were really chill.
Angel Ramirez
Why though?
Oliver Barnes
I used to be a paramedic and I left for nursing. I did more work and solo thinking and decision making that could mean life or death as a medic than as a nurse, while making the same as burger flippers at mcdonalds. Really, it's sad. Nurses deserve a living as well, but they completely overshadow EMS, and it's sad. I wonder what it's like on the road these days.
Sebastian Gomez
Post this in response to medfags attention whoring on Twitter or other social media sites.
I am both a nurse and a paramedic. Pickup a shift, its absolute hell, I know some old coworkers who cannot get N95 masks and have to steal from hospitals, because the hospitals dont give a fuck about EMS and will not give them N95s.
Jack Garcia
>When you're a 300lb she-boon who just got beat up and tossed out on the street by your boyfriend and you have horrible diarreha from drinking nothing but kool-aid all day so you call a fucking ambulance in the middle of a festival and ask to be taken to the hospital 5 minutes down the street
Flight Nurse: all the pros of EMS with all the bennies of nursing
Jaxon Roberts
Truer words have not been said, and mind you, I am not some incel, I am very sociable, I have seen both sides of the coin. I would not be a nurse if it were not for the pay, the profession is full of gossip and shit, just needed to vent because one of the bitches at work told my wife I kept looking at her ugly ass, bitch I don't give a fuck about you.
There would be change if big city agencies did a strike right now. Imagine if LA county or Boston EMS walked off the job for just 2 days during this pandemic ? Instant pay raises. Those cities would collapse with dead people.
Easton Nguyen
Why not become a nurse instead?
Brayden Richardson
My mom was a nurse. She pulled in more than my dad who also had a decent education and job. I love my mom, but this is true. She didn't have to deal with shit as bad as an ems would.
Adrian Lee
Alright, pal, your .webm pisses me off with how free time is spent in these environments, and I wonder if any of these stupid ass videos are promoted by administration as some bullshit "teambuilding" or "work environment coherence". Fuck. I understand downtime at work, but this just makes a mockery of those who take their professional careers seriously (I'm not a nurse btw).
But I do agree EMTs deserve better compensation for the jobs they perform especially when compared to many nursing specialties. Some of the nursing fields should be treated as slightly glorified clinic workers. I've talked to EMTs about their horror stories and people don't understand how often their lives are frequently saved by that crowd out of how quick their reactions are in life-endangering situations. Not everyone is mentally capable of handling the stress with the jobs EMTs do, and I respect them a metric fuck ton after having some training classes and learning about job hazards. Bring about some legislation user!

Any Canadian paramedics here? I’m looking at going to school for that this fall.
Gavin Young
How racist.
Jacob Powell
What medical degree should I get at community college?
Logan Rivera
My service's call volume has actually been cut nearly in half since this started. No more appointments and nursing homes being somewhat more hesitant to send residents out for stupid shit helps. Still plenty of retards calling for foot pain though. I've had seven confirmed COVID cases so far: 1st Homeless man at shelter 2nd Dialysis transport 3rd Worst nursing home in Milwaukee 4th Fat bitch from worst nursing home on Milwaukee's East side 5th Group home 6th Group home 7th Corona infested actually somewhat nice nursing home. None of them had terrible respiratory distress but they were all extremely lethargic and barely awake.
you get to eat during work? My field we have to work straight through 8-12 hours. lucky if there is a porta potty on site to use.
Jacob Gray
EMS New York, civil servant doing promotional for firefighter. Willing to share some stories if you guys want. Especially about the Covid19 changing the entirety of the EMS system in the past 2 months.
Anthony Wood
You are aware that you can get an RN license with an associates degree, right? Though most states require 2 years more for a bachelors, that does not diminish the fact that the same amount of information is shared between both professions given course time.
Blake Rogers
I fucked two trans nurses two years ago. On meff as well. 24 hour suck and fuck total degenerate orgy.
Elijah Roberts
Im male nurse and im always in shock when i see such videos. No sane person here would do such video in work . Its always westerners doing such idiotic videos. Here nurse is underpaid and dont have time with so many patients flooding socialistic healthcare system. I make $12k year and i work for years at cardiology unit where we have 2 deaths every single week. If i didnt like my country i would already move from this shithole and socialistic healthcare system. Thanks God my family is rich so im going to build my house and quit this low paid job. 2-5years from now and i will be living from NEET crowns and i will stop supporting our rotten healthcare system.
Aaron Hughes
Ok, I agree that EMTs should be paid more, but not as much as nurses. To couch this rebuttal, I am not a nurse, but have clients across the spectrum. EMT: >skilled in first aid >skilled in stabilization >first aid is a 6 hour course, maximum >EMT is 3-10 weeks, max >licensing issues are slap-on-the-wrist >intermediate training available >CE continuing education is minimal 1-2 days Paramedic: >fireman/army medic tier >2 years training >3-4 day CE requirement >licensing issues are slap-on-the-wrist Nurse: >4 year bachelor, plus rotations >licensing exam 6 hours >overseen by licensing board >can get in serious trouble for any criminal, substance abuse, or financial issues (e.g., DUI = one year piss testing and counseling) >Yearly CE requirements of 15 hours or more, typically taking a week or more
>Never have to renew license, can get old and forget everything about nursing but still be allowed to step into an ER room as a non-patient This is bullshit. CE requirements are usually 15-16 general with specific requirements of 2 hours in several areas.
Colton Wright
Because he's literally payed to dance and perform for tictok.
Gavin Williams
trans nurses? Holy shit where do you live? I never heard about single tran nurse in my country. You must live in USA for sure.
Michael Sanchez
you know paramedics do clinical rotations too right? also, licenseing issues are not a slap on the wrist, they are really fucking harsh, just go to NJ website state.nj.us/health/ems/reg-enforcement/legal-action/ they literally parade people who make mistakes. This profession leaves no room for error. nurses renew cpr cards, and do CE, 30 hours of ce is a joke. I do 60 hours on national registry.
