There's a theory that elevators are one of the biggest ways that it spreads and coincidentally China, Italy, NYC are all high up on the list of places that have lots of elevators per capita. My guess is that if there's more than 1 person on it, there's a very high chance of breathing in other peoples' viruses in an elevator. Take the fucking stairs if you can. If you must use an elevator, use an elbow to press the buttons.

I'm not convinced that gloves will generally protect people. In fact, I think gloves may hasten the spread in the general population.
Having gloves means that it's a pain in the ass to frequently wash your hands or even apply hand sanitizer, so it means that it won't get done nearly as frequently.
People will wear the same gloves for hours, perhaps even all day, tracking the virus everywhere: every little incidental touch is a potential transmission vector.
It also means that low-IQ people will have false confidence of safety and touch everything in sight. Have you seen low-IQ food service workers who were ordered to wear gloves? They go from handling cash, to touching food, and back and forth without realizing that there's an issue. They only think that if they wear gloves they're doing the right thing. They just don't get it and touch everything in sight when they wear gloves: I cannot stress this enough. Low-IQ idiots just go and touch everything while wearing gloves, even in the middle of a pandemic. They can't help themselves.
Except in a limited medical setting where people are trained to have a proper method of taking them off and putting them on for procedures in a safe and consistent way, I think gloves are probably a negative.

Don't dismiss the possibility of Chink or other country (Mossad?) sleeper agents being a transmission vector. If you wanted to fuck up the USA right now, it would take very limited resources to have a few sleeper agents in the field spread it in many places with total plausible deniability and it being almost impossible to get caught.
