Large majority do. You have to understand, most russians are so fucking poor and uneducated, (85%+ dont speak english), and only like 15-20% even have a zagran passport (travel passport). Most have never been outside their home city, yet alone the country.

When you make 10-15k rub a month (like 200 dollars or less) anywhere thats not moscow/spb there really isnt much you can do to lift yourself up, especially when all you see around you is trash/garbage and so you just learn to live with it and think shit u see in movies is just made up.

So until this shit fell apart in the 90s, literally you lived/worked/ate where you were told, and that was it. You literally owned nothing of value.

So then the 90s happened/fall of communism, and oh oh what now. Anyone who was like, higher communist party leader suddenly owned factories and shit. Everyone else owned NOTHING. If you were assigned an apartment, then you were lucky and that was now your only thing of value (even if u were in a shitty hrushevka). But the 90s hit russia hard, and since no one had money, murder/theft/bribery skyrocketed.

Many people sold their apartments or wahtever else just to feed their kids for what little the ex commie part leaders gave them (or bandits took from you), and that where oligarcs rose.

So you have millions of people who lived their life being told where to shit/live/etc like a slave, and all of a sudden have freedom. None of them knew what to fucking do, and most still dont.

Same reason why there are no suburbs/roads/infasctcture here that people are surprised at, it's because due to lack of private ownership those things never developed.

So now its why salaries here outside of two cities (moscow/spb) are so astronomically low, cause there is literally nothing out there in most of russia.

Kremlin already saved its oligarchs from mass bankruptcy on multiple occasions, there is always money for that. Not too different from US, where WH/Fed saves Wall Street, again and again...

A currency doesn't get devalued because banks buy government bonds, that's how all - read ALL governments fund budget deficits.

I've been in finland many times, i'm well aware of the costs. At least in finland i'll be able to work properly in both irl/online without the retardation of russias laws that are 30 years behind in terms of digital.

All of middle east relies on cruide oil prices

Russia has a lot more manufactures and agriculture exports.

Not that bad actually, aside from the currency dive. Their economy is shielded from the economic effects of the virus on global markets due to becoming self-sufficient because of sanctions. They still have massive gold reserves as well.
