They have litteraly no QC in their factories which are not ISO certified. You also get to pay 10k for Autopilot which does not work, it's in Beta, you will have to agree to a disclaimer and will likely kill you.
Not to mention they treat their employees like shit and that is reflected back in the poor costumer service.

Tesla QC is mostly due to the rapid growth of the company, and mostly minor niggles (paint and minor door alignment issues) which have already been fixed because of their extensive automation processes.
Engineers who have torn Tesla's apart have marveled at the innovation, and one guy commented that he didn't even know exactly how the electric motor worked, it was technology he was unfamiliar with.
