>only once in the past 32 years has a republican presidential candidate won the popular vote
>despite this america has had multiple republican presidents
where's the democracy?
Only once in the past 32 years has a republican presidential candidate won the popular vote
The U.S is a Republic, not a tyranny of the majority.
Never claimed to be a democracy until recently (1880s)
Muttland isn't a democracy
Electoral college since the beginning? Not sure if bait but banking on bait/shill.... so here is your (You)
The republican party could easily win the popular vote if that was actually what the elections were about. Because they would adjust their campaign strategy accordingly.
Without jerrymandering the white trash will get pissed off that their party never wins so they claim it's to prevent "tyranny of the majority" when really it was always just for appeasing the rural states.
Worry about your own severely cucked nation LOL
We aren't a democracy, and we don't want to be.
Constitutional Republic, glad to see that foreign retards think they know everything just by reading headlines.
They never had a democracy in the 1st place. Too many of them have the mentality that if you don't vote for red or blue then you've wasted your vote. People will actually give you shit for voting for anyone else other than red or blue.
The US is not a democracy, and doesn't use the popular vote. The US is 50 different states, and each state holds their own vote. The states are weighted based on population. In a presidential election, a citizen of a state votes in their state election. He's not actually voting for the president directly, he's voting for an elector who has pledged to cast a vote for the declared candidate. In order to become president, you do not need to win the popular vote, you just need to win a plurality of the state electors.
The US is a federated republic.
The United States is not a democracy. Never has been.
>unironically not knowing what a democratic republic is
I live in North Dakota and don't even bother voting for Presidental elections. The republican always wins by 90%. There are alot of people like this.
>Jews promote degeneracy and dysgenics
>more dysgenic is voted into office
Mhm, I dont know.
Why isn't it abolished then when it's anti-democracy?
The states elect the president.
SeeThe Electoral College was literally made because the Southern colonies knew they couldn't win elections by popular vote so they needed a way to cheat the system.
fuck democracy
fuck niggers
fuck kikes
fuck spics
fuck chinks
fuck jannies
Finally, Fuck You OP.
I thought Trump loved Jews, even his son in law is a Jew.
How specifically does gerrymandering alter the outcome of the presidential election?
Your population is utterly retarded:
> 50% of LESS actually vote
> If just 27% of the population could come together they could elect a third-party candidate
> Red and Blue state divides in general are almost razor-thin
> Voter mobilization and ringing doorbells only convinces 50% of all voters to actually vote
Utter lunacy
It would require a constitutional amendment and as shocking as it is, states seem to like electing their executive.
It is not a way to cheat the system, it is literally the system.
And he sucks also jew cock like the boomer he is.
>dishonest one sided retard
kys already white trash
With districting. Granted the issue with the electoral college is not so much districting but moreso that if one party gets a slight majority in a swing state it is as if the whole state voted for that party. This is more of an advantage for conservatives because it helps them fight the popular vote.
If people don't want to vote, that is fine with me. Some people don't give a shit either way.
When the system was made it was a form of cheating compared to the alternative of a more direct democracy, but correct nowadays gaming the system with swing states is the way to go.
It’s a way of keeping the peace and preventing civil war.
Republiturds would chimp out if the electoral college was abolished and every election was decided by the same 2 or 3 big liberal cities.
God damn I hate democracy.
Each state is able to decide how it's electoral votes are distributed. Not all of them are winner take all and they do not have to be.
So am I understanding that the answer to this question:
>How specifically does gerrymandering alter the outcome of the presidential election?
Is gerrymandering does not alter the outcome of the presidential election?
Go to a state that feeds America with 4,000 acre farms and tell them they have no say in anything. Idiot.
Americans seem to forget electoral college also helps give the small blue Urban meme states like Rhode Island, Delaware and new jersey disproportionate power. They don't actually care about protecting rural areas they just want to advance their team over the other team
Spin it all you want. Winning the election by following the rules of a long established system is neither cheating nor gaming.
I basically called the "winner take all system" tantamount to voter gerrymandering when compared to a popular vote which isn't a great analogy but I've seen worse.
Small in regard to what? Economy? Population? Land mass?
If trump wins the popular vote and Biden wins the states than they will be demanding a proportional system , just like all the conservatives in Canada after truadue won their electoral college but the conservative got more of the popular vote.
Fuck niggers.
I lived in CT for 35 years. Candidates would have never bothered to even drive through it without the ec.
The Fascists and the Communists won elections by established rules, does that mean the rules were good or that they were flawed?
You got it backwards, retard. The electoral college is so a retarded populace doesn't elect an idiot. The 3/5ths compromise is what you're describing and was done so the Democrats in the south didn't win every single election by voting on behalf of their pet niggers and counting them for census purposes
Both
All them meme states that all new York city suburbs should be merged into one greater NYC state and the rest of NY split off from NYC , new England should be one state too
Gerrymandering in MN ensures somalis get in Congress, you dumb bastard
The Founding Fathers, rightly, believed that a democracy built upon majority rule is tyranny. Rather, a republican form of democracy was better because it ia harder to turn tyrannical because the majority does not rule. We are the United STATES of America, a republic, not the United PEOPLE of America, a democracy.
Having the states that make up the United States elect their executive is not a flawed system, it is a system that makes a great deal of sense.
Fuck democracy.
This country was founded on the principle that only landowning white men could vote.
The obsession with democracy has ruined us.
Democracy is on a state level.
On a federal level democracy can go fuck itself.
