If you OWED the IRS (you're a contractor), there's a form you have to fill out on the IRS website to get it electronically, otherwise you have to wait for a paper check

Walmart employee out of Shasta County CA reporting in. A crapton of folks walked in today and I was thinking "WTF? EBT crap was over last week." Folks buying TVs, microwaves, trampolines and shit like mad. I asked a customer walking in "Hey. What's up with all these people in so early?"
Their response was "Stimulus was in my checking this morning." Someone overheard and grinned while calling out "Trump Bux!" which was picked up and repeated by someone else like 20 yards away. "Trump Bux!"
It was fucking surreal, like it was out of a movie. For what it's worth, I have no hate in working at Walmart. The place picked me up when I had like a 6 year employment gap in my resume. The "non-filer" thing is simply the IRS forcing you to file. That's why they send to a 1040 form.
Knowing this, you can do the exact same thing by going through Turbotax, which is free.
That's what I ended up doing and everything went right in. On Friday, you can put your bank account details in at the IRS website, and from there apparently you can get direct deposit as a non-filer.

$50 to file state and $60 for "advanced services" because i claimed deductions on student loan payments
